Re: Bradford match thread
I do not blame Djourou or Squallachi one bit.
They signed with every intent to play for the first team, but injury or poor form meant they have not.
That is Wenger and Gazidis's fault, not these players.
Arshavin is different, as he is lazy on the pitch.

So lets get back to what being a fan should be about i.e. getting excited at the prospect of a day at Wembley and winning a real fucking cup and not some imaginary piece of silverware that gets us the chance to play in the only competition more boring than the Cricket World Cup
I understand your thinking steve o and agree that the board wont sack him as long as the $$$ keep rolling in

Arshavin made his debut for Zenit St Petersburg at Valley Parade on August 2, 2000. Thought you'd like to know.
Going to be minus 2 or 3 in Valley Parade tomorrow night, beer won't keep you warm, and, there are no heated seats. Dress accordingly.

I always find that a nice warm lager helps on cold nights like these - you know, pour it, leave it to sit on top of the heated food counter for an hour and then remove all those cold coins from your pocket to pay for it.DB10GOONER wrote:WHAT??!!SaltaireBantam wrote:Arshavin made his debut for Zenit St Petersburg at Valley Parade on August 2, 2000. However I have always believed that wenger's fate remains in the hands of the fans and they alone can drive him out - can you imagine the brainless fool's that chant "one arsene wenger" wanting him out if we win the tin pot league cup ? These "fans" have zero comprehension of how great a club we used to be and what the greatness was built on (and I am talking long before wenger here) - you want to win this cup to get the "8 years and no trophy" monkey off our back and to give the fans a good day out for a change but other fans will see that success as an endorsement of wenger and his policies and tactics
That conclusion cannot be good for the long term good of our club - if I felt confident that winning this cup would not cease the public shows of dissatisfaction towards wenger then I would be excited at the prospect of winning again but as that is unlikely to happen then I can see as much bad as good coming out of the success and am very meh about the whole thing
Augie , i think you are correct in saying that it will be the fans that drive him out

Re: Bradford match thread
We will win and the match thread will only reach 10 pages.
Re: Bradford match thread
Just looking at the BBC thread for the match and came up with this statistic
"Arsenal have qualified for the last eight of the League Cup for the 10th successive season."
I'm just waiting for Lord Wenger to trip out this statistic citing our "remarkable consistency" when we somehow manage to fuck it up between now and the final
