Re: Emirates Cup 2013
To be honest I normally enjoy it. Have a good piss up before both games, miss the first one and most of the second, roll into the ground if we feel like it.
As long as the weather is good and the pub's open, what can go wrong?

If only I'd done the same thing but with every season since 2006.

Re: Emirates Cup 2013
The only thing the emirshits cup was good for was so non members could get a glimpse of the stadium...these days every game is on general sale

Galatasaray at Emirates Cup/Trouble at Games Abroad
Apparently the club have invited Real Madrid, Juventus and....
Galatasaray

a finger to the arsenal fans if ever I've seen one.

After several stab attacks on Arsenal fans and english fans in general in 2000 you'd think they'd
show us some respect

I this is true then I expect that the train companies will be jacking up the prices from Leeds to London that weekend. Terrible decision by the club if true.

Re: Emirates Cup 2013
Galatasaray have some quality players...
Drogs Sneijder Yilmaz Muslera Altintop Melo and of course cult hero Emmanuel
(they'll prob get slaughtered by Real, but who knows)
reality is the tickets are expensive and its a pre-season friendly
vast majority of Gala fans will be local, coming from Green Lanes
don't think there's any reason for trouble to happen

Arsenal plc can put a price on everything Flash. Tbh given the make-up of the Emirates Cup crowds most probably won't even know we played them in 2000.flash gunner wrote:Its not about the threat of trouble its about inviting those fucking scum *word censored* to 'our' event, another show from the club they dont have a fucking cluehighburyJD wrote:Galatasaray have some quality players...

but there's loads of clubs in England and Europe I hate more than Galatasaray
we've got a massive Turkish community on our doorstep - their league is improving
they now have some top quality players in their team
I think it's a pretty logical move to invite them
Re: Emirates Cup 2013
logical yes...respectful no. IMOhighburyJD wrote:I think it's a pretty logical move to invite them
you could argue that there are massive communities from a lot of nations in London right now to be fair, they could have invited another Turkish club for example.
must state this is speculation that they have been invited and they could also turn down the invitation.
