Can see Spurs dropping loads of points next 8 games, it's that time of the season again. Don't for a minute think this team has the bottle to go and win at WHL though, we'd have to be four goals up playing against 8 men for the match to be over.
Last year, we had a striker. This year, we have a back up striker while Spuds have a misfiring one. We should nick 4th - just about.

Chelsea is a joke. It's incredible how poor they are this season AGAIN. Wonder if they get a good manager in the summer because imo they don't need too much to challenge for the title. But without a good manager they will just continue to fuck it up - good 8)

I am loving it. Abramovich is just showing what an idiot that he is. By appointing Benitez, he will show everyone that CL league winners with significant investment can't qualify for the knock-out stages nor the CL next year (on course for Europa - they are fading) without some continuity in place. His appointment was divine intervention of a brain hemorrhage, I reckon.

I reckon that they are imploding and I'd be surprised to see them finish top 4. Their current league form is pretty abysmal.

Just hard to say because we are playing so poorly but they are also a worse side than last year and proven bottlers.

I think Chelsea will regroup and put together a bit of form for the next few games - they need to because they have a tough finish. Spurs have got a tough run of games and I expect them to drop plenty of points, and we've got a pretty kind run-in after Sunday but equally last season when on good form we managed to still pick up 2 points at home to Wigan, Chelsea and Norwich when it mattered.

To sum up we're all shit and it's just whatever is worse out of our tactical incompetence and inability to defend at all, Spurs' lack of creativity other than Bale and general history of bottling it and Chelsea's disharmony.

If the Spuds win at West Ham and beat us thats it its all over.Last year we had the best player in the country who carried us to the top 4 and they had the Harry for England business.

We need to beat our neighbors and then we can splutter into 4th place and finish 30 points behind the champions .
Wenger will then declare himself God and will move to the Vatican !
The on loaners will come back and our squad will be strong again !

You forgot about how we'll finally have the hallowed clear-out of the deadwood, free up loads of money in wages and use it to acquire several quality players... while Mansour and Abramovich pull the plug on their respective clubs and our miserly ways are vindicated. Can't wait for next season!!!

I thought at the start of the season that we would finish way behind utd, city & chavs but well clear of spuds, everton & the like. Think it says a lot for the lack of quality in the premier league that its still feasible for us to finish 3rd...or even 2nd :D  !

Id warn against those who say we have an easier run in though..... An "easier run in" saw us blow the chance of the title only a couple of years back. And almost saw us finish below spuds last season.

Think they'll win at west ham & possibly even get a draw off us - but still hopeful that europa league quarter & semi finals will be their downfall....

Course MK - it's all relative. As I said above somewhere our away games are the kind we really should be winning but the kind we've been losing for the past 2 years particularly when off-form. Last year when we started putting together some form we won at Sunderland (who were tough to beat up there), hammered Spurs at home and won at Anfield as well as twatting AC at home. Later on in the season we then managed to pick up 1 point from 3 home games when it mattered against Wigan, Chelsea and Norwich.

I do think though if Spurs suffer 2 or more disappointing results the fear will kick in and they may well start to crumble.

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal can finish second in the league

Arsene Wenger says finishing second in the Premier League is not out of Arsenal's reach.

Wenger has recently seen his side beaten by Blackburn in the FA Cup and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

But he believes they can secure the runners-up spot in the league, despite being nine points behind second-placed Manchester City with 11 games left.

"Man City is not out of reach. It could be a tight fight until the end," said the Arsenal boss.

Despite enduring a torrid time last week in cup competition, Arsenal's 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday was their third straight league success, following victories against Sunderland and Stoke.

Yet they remain fifth in the table, behind City, Chelsea and Tottenham ahead of the north London derby at White Hart Lane on 3 March.

Tottenham start Monday's game at West Ham in fourth, one point ahead of Arsenal but knowing victory at Upton Park will lift them two points above third-placed Chelsea.

Manchester United, who Arsenal still have to play at Emirates Stadium on 28 April, are 21 points clear of the Gunners at the top of the table.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez suggested before his team's 2-0 defeat at Manchester City on Sunday that a top-two finish could be out of reach if the Blues lost at Etihad Stadium.

"We have to go there with confidence and if we are close we can fight for being in the top two," said Benitez before the weekend.

"And if not we have to fight for being in the top four."

Yet Wenger believes his team can not only overtake Tottenham and Chelsea but also overhaul City and qualify automatically for a place in next season's Champions League group stage.

"I'm not sure it will only be a fight with Tottenham," he added when asked about the battle for fourth. "I'm not sure the other places are not reachable.

"Chelsea are just ahead and even Manchester City is not out of reach. It could be a tight fight until the end."

Arsenal have not finished outside the Premier League's top four since Wenger took charge in September 1996.

The last time they ended the season in the top two was in 2004-05 when they were runners-up to Chelsea.
