It's normal to rotate. Every club does it.

If he makes wholesale changes then ok, be critical (I'll be at the front of the queue), but if he makes the odd change because a couple of players could do with a rest before our VERY difficult 3 weeks ahead, then it's understandable.

That said, owing to Wenger's ridiculous decision not to bring in a striker, we simply cannot rest Giroud without seriously disrupting the team. Bonkers.
That's the problem. I wouldn't be opposed to Ozil or Ramsey getting a rest if they need it, and certainly in the case of the former it will give us a big lift off the bench if we're struggling to break them down. But the player who needs the rest a most is Giroud, but we simply can't afford to.

we should play them and tell them to get cards so that they are available for the big tests of city and chavski not that everton aren't a test,we need them with clean slates asap
Rambo only has 2 yellows in the Pl- Fulham and Cardiff. He has 2 in the CL, but they dont count.

Actually we only have had 21 yellows in the 13 PL matches, that seems to be massivly better than it used to be. Something else thats improved. 9 of them are Jack and Flamini

Bollocks to resting players, put your best out and when it's settled then take em off.

I don't understand why these players need resting. These are supposed to be physically fit and in their prime footballers and we're not even halfway through the season ffs. A few days rest between each game should be more than enough. Having said that, our outdated overly intensive training methods don't help the recovery.

We don't rotate or rest well . I've never ever understood the sense of fielding a weakened side with the stars on the bench who then come on to chase the game after the invertible conceding of a goal .
Either leave them out of the side and tell them to rest up or as others have said put your best foot forward and then bring them off when you are winning .
The mish mash bullshit which we did against chelsea pisses me right off.
If you playing Hull better to play 442 stick 2 up front and yes I'm even contemplating putting the worlds best striker up there with Giroud and whack a few direct balls in with gnarnaby or walcot providing some pace down the flanks .

In agreement with many others here that certain players need a rest, most of all Giroud, however we don't have an alternative to play up top instead. Surely this will have opened AW's eyes and shown him we NEED a striker in Jan.

Also on another note first time in Block 6 weds for me !

Any word on Podolski? Was his the worst hamstring tear in history or has he just fallen victim to Dr. Nick of the Arsenal medical staff.

No, he should be back in training after Hull match and is expected to be back in action in couple of weeks time.

Cheers. That will make it 4 months out from a hamstring injury. It's a wonder peanut head Diably is even alive.

poor training and conditioning.

Pod did his in August - when he should be 100% fit and conditioned.

the average time out for a hammie is 6-8 weeks for a real bad one. not our lot - FOUR months.

Gazidis should sack the entire medical and fitness staff and then resign.

but back to the game - we've had an extra days rest, an early goal or two against this lot and they'll get leggy.

start wally and gnabry up front and hit them with pace.

if Wenker does rest some players I can see us being at stalemate at 80 mins or worse and wishing we started with our strongest 11 instead

Hull are a Premiership team. What makes this an exercise for us to rest players?

We should be fielding the best we can. Our objective is to try to win this game.

Agreed, every 3 points we get puts further pressure on Moyes, Moaneyho and Pellagreni. Get the game won and then bring Giroud off asap, followed by Jack / Rambo or Ozil as required.
