FULHAM HOME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If we do get an early lead we have to go for the throat and not settle for a nice relaxed afternoon until they score with 20 minutes to go and then it's all hands to the pumps and panic.

They got a point against us last season and got 3 good goals against us, granted oine of them was a f**king gift, we should have won with Arteta's penalty.

I watched their game against albeit a v.poor Norwich tonight and they looked more solid at the back because Hangeland's back and Stekellenberg is much better than Stockdale. They've also got a young lad called Burns that looks like a decent young CB but I would wonder if they'd be mad enough to play him against a top prem team away from home. Hopefully they play Senderos and he puts in a similar performance like he did against Sunlun on Saturday...he was awful

If they play Berbatov instead of Bent it'll depend on whether he can be arsed or not.

Think it'll be more tight than is being predicted.

We need to score early and boss them, keep Berbatoss off the ball and Flamini roughs him up a bit, he'll get bored and spend the rest of the game being flagged offside.
Really? Don't get me wrong I don't think will be a cricket score but when exactly can we be optimistic if not now? We are playing a team at home that are 16th in the league while we are top. Now I'm not saying that is going to equal goals galore but I can understand the optimism.

I suppose thats not allowed on this forum, my bad!

Who will be posting pictures of Berbatov if he scores against us in N1Goon's absence?

N1Goon isn't coming

This fixture has finished in a draw for the past two seasons I think? 1-1 & 3-3

That made me laugh. I know the point you're making regarding this fixture, but this forum is one of the most negative places around!

Extreme caution / fear in showing hope or excitement can be seen as being negative as a result of the barren years…

Just seen, if you're travelling from further afield than Broxbourne on Saturday last train gets to
Tottenham Hale at 1.48pm. Bus service to Broxbourne after that, then train from there, same coming home...fuckers!

3v0...Giroud, BFG, Ozil

Hopefully no-one thinks this is an easy win (until it is). If Podolski doesn't get a game, he'll be off either in Jan or in the summer. Great pity imo.

London derbies are difficult to predict, just like our home performances this season. Hopefully the players will have learnt from the Cardiff game and stopped thinking all they have to do is turn up to win against the 'lesser' teams at home. Fulham have just beaten Norwich 3-0 which will give them some confidence going into this and Bent always seems to score against us. Think it could be close but we will just have too much for them. 3-1 to the Arsenal.

That's a pretty defeatist attitude to have isn't it! ?

Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest fitness updates ahead of the Premier League game against Fulham:
on Theo Walcott’s surgery…
It went very well. The damage was real in the knee so he will have to take the needed time, so let’s not be hopeful that he will go to the World Cup - that is not possible. But overall his long-term future is very positive. It's about being fit for next season now.
on Monreal and Rosicky…
Monreal looks a doubt for Saturday, a big doubt, because he twisted his foot on the kick. It is not the bruise, he turned and twisted the ligament. Rosicky had surgery with a general anaesthetic for a broken nose in two places. With a mask he may be available, but we have to monitor it closely.
on Arteta (calf), Vermaelen (knee) and Ramsey (thigh)…
Ramsey and Arteta are both out for this game. Vermaelen too. I personally believe the three will miss the Coventry game as well and will be available after that.
on Bendtner (ankle)…
He has a little chance to make Coventry. But in all probability it will be after that.

We may lose ,we may draw
But Arsene surely knows the score
because the magic number is 4

4th place non trophy and 4 more years on the new contract that he will get.

Injuries are mounting up again

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Cant realistically see Rosicki playing after a General anesthetic, though he may in that case match some other players who will also be asleep

Got to agree there, he just doesn't seem to rate/trust him, I know he can seem lazy but it will be a shame because he's the best finisher at the club, he'd have buried that chance that Giroud missed against Chelsea
