Everton cruising through now.......not many 'easy' options left in the hat now.

Not sure about that mate - Charlton, Cardiff, Brighton, Sheff Weds, Wigan. Possibly add Sunderland and Hull to that, Southampton or Swansea at home also relatively straightforward for a 5th-round tie.

"Guest co-commentator" whatever the hell that means. Hope he gets a permanent job back in football, served his time now.
just read a piece that sky are shitting themselves that BT and Beln sport (think was previously al jazeera) are getting pretty pally, ie Beln letting Gray guest for BT. SKY worried that they may team up in the next broadcasting auction?

Still nothing in there that will allow us to sleep easy when the Self Harmer decides its Be All and End All time and plays Sanogo up top on his own. Blackburn were lower half Championship and on their 3rd manager in a season when they knocked us out. He's going to blow it again - dunno why I even get my hopes up for the cup anymore

I see luke freedman is playing for Stevenage v everton - I remember when we signed him a few years ago, he was the best player of his age in the country and was tipped to be top quality in years to come

I fully agree with you that when push comes to shove we'll sacrifice the only cup we have a real chance of winning. But let's be fair if we drew any of those 4 lower league teams at home we'd almost certainly cruise through.

And I know we got turned out of the cups last year by Blackburn and Bradford but I do think they were anomalies. If you look at our record the games we typically struggle in are away games against mid-to-lower table Prem teams - Blackburn (a) 2007, Stoke (a) 2010, Sunderland (a) 2012.

It wasn't just the Sian Massey story, there was info coming out of a pattern of sexist behaviour including that video leaked out where he tries to get Charlotte whatshername to powder down his trousers

He is a brilliant commentator, better than all the others across all the sports broadcasters.

You know it's a problem when Niall Quinn is insightful by comparison.

He actually is compared to those bunch of wankers. Add Ray "he's a smashing young man" Wilkins into that list of wankers as well. The Twitcher was also being his usual cunty self on ITV today

Souness is a man I'd actually sit and listen to for hours because he's honest without Keane's bitterness and need to be controversial and he's done everything in the game. He's mostly a Gooner admirer too but will always point out our shortfalls in a meaningful and insightful way (unlike moronic, soundbitten twats like Merson).

His one 'bad day at the office' was his mention of Wenger's greatest ever achievement at finishing 4th

Robbie Savage is the man for me. 8)
The only. And I mean only, punter to tell the truth about Wenger. Few years ago on ESPN he actually said "I think they should get rid of him" [Wenger]

Insightful.

Savage is a bit like Roy Keane (except not so much of an agenda). Revels in controversy but does actually have the balls to call it as he sees it. Unfortunately seems people would rather listen to smug camera-friendly dickheads like Jamie Redknapp spouting their thoughtless populist views. He'll still be balls deep in Stevie G when he's dragging Liverpool down like an anchor playing centre mid in his 40s because he's undroppable.
