I don't think I enjoy any match until it's over and the three points are in the bag unless we've stream rolled our way through the game which has rarely happened this season, I'm usually a nervous wreck for 90 plus minutes, Cardiff at home was agony apart and thought we'd blown it but the sheer explosion of relief after we scored was unforgettable. Also in terms of how proud I am of the team, yes I am very.

We have a likeable bunch of players (minus the Great Dane) and for the first time for many years you see players out there who really care and want to do well for the club.

I am enjoying it whilst still harboring feelings of impending doom. I don't think we can win it and even a purchase in January would still probably not have been enough.
To maintain our challenge for so long has been satisfying and if we can hang in there until the end, even finishing 5-7 points behind the winners, I would consider this season "a success". If we where to win the FA cup as well then that would be fantastic.
Realistically, history tells us it will all go tits up over the next 6-7 games, and I am still of the belief that we will never win another trophy whilst Wenger is in charge.

It's been a much improved season anyway whatever happens and as I'm sure SteveO-35 will agree, a massive part of that is down to Mr. Wenger.

I haven't seen it on here for at least an hour and am getting withdrawal symptoms, so might as well do the honours...

So many things to enjoy about this season -

the lift in confidence the signing of ozil gave the team and the fans

the leadership qualities shown by BFG on a regular basis - it has been years since we had a leader of men who holds his team-mates accountable 8)

the huge improvement defensively - being a GG disciple, I am always more focused on defence so it is great to see how much more solid we are nowadays

ramsey's form this season - all of us want the guy to be a big player for us but several doubted (me included) whether he would ever hit the heights after scumbag shawcross tried to end his career

the impending departure of nike as our kit suppliers - words cannot express how much anger I have for the way those c*nts fcuked about with our kit and the abominations they made the team wear :x I'm sure every club feels this way about their kits but for me our kits are part of our tradition and are sacred :x

the fact that this season feels like we are challenging again even if a collapse is around the corner - too often in recent years we have been well adrift at this stage of the season so it is nice to be amongst the leading pack this time around.

The negatives

the impending new contract for the single biggest reason why this club will not win trophies anytime soon  A million things I could say on the matter but whats the point ?

the impending departure of sagna - without a shadow of doubt he is the best defensive full back we have had in the last 15 years and it is an utter disgrace if we let him go

our inability to beat the chavs and manure - that the manc c*nts have only won 1 game against a big club this season and that was against us, is an utter disgrace because we just seem happy to bend over for them whilst the likes of Southampton, the baggies and mackems show more guts and are rewarded for their attitude. If we lose to them on Wednesday then it will, for me anyway, be on a par with last seasons defeats to Bradford and blackburn  Beating the chavs though is right up there for me on my wish list - I don't know if I have said it before ( ) but I have a dislike for a few of their players and manager and it is a disgrace that wenker has never beaten the portugese c*nt so 3pts would be very welcome but highly unlikely

the January transfer window debacle - many of us had frequently stated that our transfer policy had not changed on the back of signing ozil and so it proved. That we are so close right now is indeed great, but at the end of the day we showed a complete lack of ambition by our lack of transfer activity last month. What really was the straw that broke the camels back was when our esteemed manager stated that if he had 2 or 3 more days he wouldn't have signed the swedish crock - he had just had 31 wasted fcuking days of the transfer window and the c*nt complained about running out of time   :censored: :censored: :cussing: :cussing:

the collapse - you know it's coming, I know it's coming and the rest of the world knows that it is coming but preparing for it wont make it any easier to stomach. Of course a lot of fans have chosen to ignore the fixture list up to this point (the same fans will probably complain about the run of tough fixtures around the corner  ) but the reality is that big teams turn up on big days and we still haven't shown an ability to do so

the flipfloppers - we might laugh about it on here but the reality is that fans who continually change their position only add to the perception that all football fans are fickle and for me it lessens the credibility of Gooners. With the exception of signing ozil, wenker has don't nothing differently this season than he has in the past few seasons but all of a sudden some fans who used to want him gone are now believing in him again ? We play the same shite formation, still play too much tippy tappy football, the 70th min sub policy continues to rule, are still more focused on signing cheap and free substandard shite players or refuses to sign any at all rather than bringing in proven quality and still shows in ability to alter his gameplan in any way shape or form - tell me what has he done differently ? When he signs his new deal and performs as spectacularly in the summer transfer window as he did last month, we will see next season revert to the same as previous seasons and when/if that happens those fans will perform another yet turn and call for a change but it will be then pointed out to us that only a few months ago we all supported the manager

augie - NIKE don't make our players wear the shit jerseys. They are given guidelines by The Board [(C) MadMartyOCD] then they design them and present 3 or 4 options to the Board and the Board pick one. But agree it's great to be rid of NIKE and hopefully Puma will present better choices steeped in our tradition to the Board - but it will still be the Board that picks the final jersey the players wear.

There are certain games ive really enjoyed this season, such as Dortmund away, L'pool at home, and the two home games against Spurs, but i still dont rate this season as a success, if we win nothing. Just challenging for the title, is not sufficient enough for a club like Arsenal, the reason, this club we all love is so famous round the world is because of the big history of success we have had, in the past, and 2nd or 3rd place finishes dont count as success.

At the end of the day, nike present 4 shite kits to the club and those c*nts pick one of them - it doesn't change the fact that they are shite kits but I also agree that the board/club are far from blameless in this fiasco :x

I'm just waiting for Ivan The Terrible to ask Puma to design one of those American Throw Ball perforated-type jerseys for the London Arsenal Cannons franchise!

Great season so far but obviously the games ahead are going to ultimately have a massive hand in what the outcome could be. People wanted progress and the fact we are anywhere near the top at this stage, demonstrates we've made some.

The Koscielny/Mertesacker partnership is one of my favourite parts of the season so far. Two players who were ridiculed have turned out to be one of (if not the) best pairings in the league.

The fickleness on here is pretty comical the majority of the time. The Knee Jerk Club who normally turn up late in the first half or at half time are my favourites. Apparently everyone knows we are going to fail yet some the expectations seem to have gone up...

How dare you talk about Wenger like that :D

I have refrained from There's Only One until my researchers in Europe have exhausted all avenues and concluded that it is actually a FACT

Anyway, must go and speak to the grown-ups now. Love to you too Robin - have a nice day

I think that you will find that most have listed the positives that they are getting from this season - your question asked if people are enjoying this season so you must have expected people to list the things that they do enjoy and the things that they are not enjoying ?

Apparently either the world's going to end or we're playing the best football since Brazil in 1970. You're obviously not allowed to just be happy about some aspects and disappointed by others

No wonder they say football fans are fickle
