He also speaks with a Spanish accent with the occasional horrific Jack twang. Top accent.swimmer1 wrote:Martinez for me good with the press pl experience played in the English league speaks English unlike the Southampton manager tosser also I think his is a manager players will like playing under him could attract top players

I agree - if we take a chance and it doesn't work out, what have we lost in sporting terms ? not much.northbank123 wrote: I am always reticent about promotion lower managers but personally I would be very happy to give Martinez a chance. Very positive, very progressive.
of course money though is a big factor. whoever comes in is NOT going to get a CL grace period.

Maybe if Chelski dont win anything Mourinho will be sacked and come to us. I reckon he would if we offered him 100m in transfers.

Klopp stands out a mile for me, not sure if any of the national managers are due to turn it in after the World Cup, Low would be interesting.
Maybe Wenger could go and manage France, that would be ideal scenario, don't want him hanging around the club, sticking his oar in on transfers and god nose what else.

I would like to see Redknapp as manager. The guy isn't afraid to sign players and he did an amazing job for spurs.

Not afraid? More like he has a compulsive disorder requiring that anyone available be bought for whatever the price.spendsum4uckingmoney wrote:I would like to see Redknapp as manager. The guy isn't afraid to sign players and he did an amazing job for spurs.
Too retrograde and a man whose idea of tactical acumen is shouting at his players (from the wound-down window of a Range Rover) to "fuckin' run around a bit".
Pass.

Re: A Post-Wenger World
[Note: I just merged a new Wenger thread simply because it was no different from the existing thread, not trying to over-mod the site so let's leave this running as it is discussing other managers rather than moaning about Wenger, even though there is plenty of that on the Wenger thread anyway.]
I just repeat what I put on the Wenger thread, that there are loads of managers who would jump at the chance to manage us.
We are a regular Champions League club, in London, with a new stadium, great pitch, good training ground and pay our managers a high wage.
I think Wenger will sign for two more years if he wins the FA Cup. If he loses it, I am not sure he will sign a new contract.
I like Ancelotti - experienced, Premier league double winner, tactically savvy.
Klopp would be exciting, but doubt he would come this summer.
Martinez in two years I would consider, but bit too soon for me.
Simeone well worth a look, exciting football.
I would also consider Rafa Benitez for his experience; though I think some of our fans are not keen on him.

Re: A Post-Wenger World
I think whoever gets the job will be a fucking 'yes' man, handpicked by Wenger, and therefore the future without Wenger scares me more than the future with him.....amazing but true. I've hated Gazidis since the day he set foot in the place - a thinly veneered marketeer who hasn't got the first fucking clue about how to run a modern day football club. The whole team around him are two steps behind the field in everything they do from commercial deals, to pulling off transfers on a regular basis. The choice of manager will be one of the most painful in Arsenal history....honestly, I don't think people realise just how much of a fuck up is about to happen with these useless wankers running the club
Still, as long as the property developments come good who cares eh ?
Kroenke - sell up, fuck off and take Gazidis and his entire management team with him
Then I can get excited about a post Wenger world

Re: A Post-Wenger World
Sir Alex.
He's out of a job and has decent experience at the top level. And as Moyes has hilariously shown, Fergie is able to get the best out of players where others can't.
He's also shown he's up for staying long term... so offer him a 20 year contract, sit back and watch the refs shit themselves at the Grove instead
