As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My mates are a mixture of Southampton, Leeds, Liverpool, Manu, Portsmouth, totnumb.
If I gauged it by the lads I play footie with then it would be saints, totnumb, chelsea, I'm the only gooner.
If I gauge it by who I play cricket with then it would be totnumb (5 ) saints, Arsenal (2 of us ).
If I gauge it by my local pub then it is liverpool, manu, chelsea, saints, then me
If I gauge by my family then it's Arsenal (my Dad god bless him was a gooner), my son is a gooner, two of my four brothers are gooners and their sons are too, of my 8 sisters 3 are gooners, 1 is liverpool, 1 is a season ticket holder at manu and her son is too, the others don't like the game, 2 of my brothers are pompey supporters.
I have 23 nephew and nieces and I have lost count of great nephews and nieces but Arsenal are by far the most supported.
That about raps up the scores from Hampshire
Christ, Pikey-Lefty, you must have some amount of caravans on that halting site!

I live near Southport, merseyside (or Lancashire if you are born in Southport as they hate to be linked with Merseyside) and the order is
1) Everton
2) Liverpool
3) Man Utd
4) Man City
The area is littered with ex- Everton/ Liverpool players/ managers and a few current ones too.
Not a day goes by without seeing one of the players from the great Liverpool and Everton teams of the 70's/ '80's, and the not so great 90's.
I know at least 8 Gooners up here although there are probably more
All I want to do is Arsenal to win the league so I can put an "Arsenal Champions" scarf on Alan Hansen gate...is it too much to ask for????
growing up in wood green it's no mystery , there was scum everywhere, with a decent population of gooners. absolutley no chelsea and I don't think the chelsea virus has reached this far north yet
spent some time living in bristol and I was always stumped as to how many called themselves city or rovers fans yet never bothered going to the match. massive manc/liverpool area in the nineties.
Growing up in the 70's and 80's the majority were traditionally split between Arsenal and Spurs, with a sprinkling of Q.P.R and Watford.
Non-league sides Barnet and Wealdstone also had a small local support.
There were a few Liverpool fans too.
Man Utd gained fans in the 90's, and lately Chelsea fans have come out of the woodwork.
Never saw any Chelsea fans round here in the 80's.
Hmmm.
I'm originally a Harrow boy myself.
I remember loads of Liverpool fans from the 80s successes, and then United of course ; but still plenty of Arsenal and a smattering of Spurs. Don't think I knew of any Chelsea fans around that area when I lived there in the 90s.
Being originally from Harrow, I have moved further and further out of London over the last few years, I am now just on the Beds side of the Herts / Beds border.
Mainly Arsenal round here from what I have seen since I moved, plus a few Spurs and Chelsea of course, and a smattering of West Ham.
Not so many Glory Hunting Scousers or Mancs noted so far though. Which is nice.
Grew up in Harlow in the 1970's. As with other "new towns" the supporter breakdown depended on the part of London from where the inhabitants migrated. So Harlow was largely for Tottenham/Edmonton etc and predominantly Spurs territory. In many ways it became the default team for anyone who wasn't otherwise affiliated! I would say that Arsenal were next (but by some distance!), followed by West Ham and then Chelsea. Can't recall anyone at school supporting Leyton Orient, despite it possibly being our (marginally) nearest league club. And no-one at school in those days supported Man United!
But I suspect that a big difference between then and now is that you tended to inherit your team from your parents etc. And they in turn tended to support the local team. And most of the lads I grew up with did actually go to games - so you were never going to support a team if you had no chance of actually going to see them at the weekend.
I suspect that things have changed a lot in that regard. A lot of kids will have been priced out of actually going to games. Or they'll be put off by the need to be a member. And with just about all games being televised live on the internet, Sky, BT etc these days then kids are free to choose a team rather than necessarily feeling obliged to have some sort of family or geographical link. In fairness, a club like Arsenal will have been a real beneficiary of this and I dare say many of you will have chosen to support the club rather than the club choosing you as might have been more the case up to 20 years ago.
Nowadays, living close to MK there is a mix of the London clubs plus a lot of Luton and MK Dons (albeit that they would often be a second team and one that is quite attractive because of cheap season tickets). And of course a fair smattering of Man United & Liverpool. Very few support the midlands clubs or Northampton Town - which is a little strange given how close they are.
