You casually suggest that as "only" 28 Israelis have died from rockets that Israel is wrong to defend itself.
Well that just shows your scant regard for Jewish life.
Even if one person had died from a rocket we have a need to do something about it.
But it is not just rockets though is it?
There have been suicide bombs, car bombs, bombs left in bags, shootings, stabbings, mechanical diggers used to wreak havoc, car drivers crossing lanes recklessly to cause others to crash, rocks thrown at oncoming cars which result in deaths and once even a maniac running through the streets of Jaffa with a sword.
Over 1000 Israelis killed from 2001 - 2008.
And of those killed in Gaza, latest figures point to 47% of them being terrorists.
And as I pointed out, Hamas forces it's own people to stay in buildings that are under fire whilst we give up the military advantage of surprise to warn the civilians exactly where we will attack!
It forced children to build terror tunnels, 160 of these children died!
The enemy is Islamic Terror, the enemy we have to fight in Gaza.
Your woefully selective version of Israeli history is poisonous fiction.
The land has spiritual qualities not found elsewhere, integral to our faith.
We have a continuous presence there over 1300 years, though the from the third century to the early 20th numbers were forced to remain low.
We have now reclaimed a chunk of our spiritual homeland and the in-gathering of our exiled tribes is a miracle.
But 82% of the land was assigned to the Arabs by the British and French...as Jordan and Syria.
How dare we have the temerity to want to live in peace in the other 22%!
How dare we defend ourselves from Hamas who were six weeks away from invading Israel through tunnels!
As for religion, it is the root of morality.
But it like anything else, can be twisted.
