An entertaining (and somewhat fortunate) 50 from Ali - the tail is wagging.

He was probably out earlier as he nicked a yorker to the keeper but nobody appealed.

A useful cameo from Broad ends for 18 as he bottom edges to Haddin behind the stumps. Foolish dismissal though as Moeen Ali is going really well at the other end on 60; he would have been better off blocking the spinner.

I realise I'm talking to myself here but what the fuck...........

Ali goes for 77 slashing wildly and being caught in the slip cordon. It was a super little knock that takes us to 420.

Alright pest, how's it going?

Yeah, s'alright innit.

What you up to....

Oh, hi - didn't see you there. England all out for 430, with Starc clean bowling Anderson for 1. A good total all things considered; added some useful runs and will be happy with their efforts.

Cheers Arse, will do.

Seeing as I've company, I'll give an update:

England bowling OK and have had a couple of lbw appeals turned down, losing one review. Broad had Warner plumb but there was an inside edge which was correctly picked up by the umpire.

Aus 12 - 0 and Broad bowling pretty well.

Aus 26 - 0 at lunch.

Warner becalmed on 5, Rodgers looking OK.

The oirish dont get a thinking mans game do they ;).

Crucial session for England, whilst they have bowled well so far the Aussie openers will open up soon and start scoring more freely. Need to get Warner out soon.
