You have to back the manager to do his job and it's up to him to surround himself with whatever scouts and advisers he wishes.

But surely only scouts that are willing to work 24/7, 365 days a year and travel to every corner of the globe ?
Baby Jebus!! Surely with that amount of work and travel, they would end up leeetle beet jaded??!!

TBH I think that the Dippers are a busted flush, sure they carry on the super quality reputation, but the finances are such that it will be hard to make up the lost ground over many years.

Would The Victims have flogged The Cannibal or Stirling in the 80s? Not a chance. The nearly won the league myth was due to the change of managers of all the top 4 combined with an ace season for one of the top strikers in the world. We all said we should have stepped up with transfers that season and we could have won the league if we had. Wrighty made that point on MOTD last night

The fact that Sanchez chose us over them when a swap of sorts with the cannibal could hasve been on says volumes of their attractability these days. Only Coutinho and possibly Skirtyl (Dirty fuc**er that he is) would be making many of the other top teams- Sturridge if he is fit for more than a nanosecond too.

I would love to see a dual appointment of Phil Thompson and Sammy Lee just so we can sing "sit down Pinocchio" and the wonderful"who's the midget in the suit?".
I think klopp will be their next manager, he'll have a short term impact but wont sustain it. Gerrard and carragher will be back at the club within next 5years.
I want ancellotti or guardiola take over from Wenger next summer

During Rodger's time the Victims spent 300 million on 23 players, none of whom would be starters for us. Markovic anyone?

They'll be in for a shock when Klopp expects them to sprint 10km every match.

Unless Liverpool give Klopp a free rein and £150m+ to rebuild. Why take the job?. This team is so far behind compared to the half decent side he had in Dortmund.

The goalkeeper and defense is a shambles, average midfield and one decent striker who has injury problems.

I see only two assets Coutinho and Sturridge the rest are average or piss poor.

Because it's Liverpool.

AC Milan are another fallen giant. You take on the job because of the prestige and history of the club.

His Dortmund team were a joy to watch, best football I have seen outside of our 2002 - 2004 period.

Beat Bayern many many times over the tenure of his duration there.
Still don't see it to be honest
I suppose it's how you define "fuck all".

He won back-to-back Bundesliga titles and got to the CL final. All on a relatively tight budget whilst playing an appealing brand of high energy, attacking football (I think he also won the German FA Cup a couple of times

To me, that's anything but fuck all. Credit where it's due, mate. Surely?
two german leagues and a CL final. the way people go on about him you'd think he had a mountain of honors.

I'm not saying he isn't a good manager but i do think he is being put up on a pedestal

His win percentage record was very decent over 3 years so surprised he was sacked, obviously there are underlying problems within pool and the method of player recruitment so not sure klopp would accept the job under the current work arrangements.

Time will tell and if klopp does accept then klopp and the kop should be an easy terrace ditty for the mousers to think up

Myles Palmer is claiming Pool are to be taken over by some very rich oil money people
Could be bollox, could be true. If true, I'll laugh to see that Top 4 competition next year! Personally hope it's true, it's boring having a league with so much dross, hopefully it'll raise the level a bit.
