Champions League Draw
Re: Champions League Draw
That was worth the effort in Greece!!? We can beat them at home and then try not get mauled away like the previous times. Didn't Liverpool beat Barcelona in last 16 on the way to winning it in 2005 after securing a last 16 place after beating Olympiacos in a must win game in 2004-05 season?
Can try a song for Giroud for this game...
Chim chiminee, chim chiminee chim, chimcheroo
Who needs Leo Messi, when we've got Giroud.

Absolutely farkin hilarious! This could actually be activate score in the return leg. The thought of Neymar running at Mertesacker, and Messi at Bellerin, I mean it's too comical for words. I think what's making me laugh is that it took less than a day for Wenker's retard words about Giroud being up there with Suarez to come and haunt him.
:spitcoffee:
We will have the proof.
It makes the celebrations after the "heroics" of Athens even more ridiculous. Celebrating the opportunity to get nailed with no lube
The fact most fans are excited to watch Messi, Neymar, Rakitic, Suarez...whilst being perfectly accepting of the absolute hammering the club is going to take isn't lost on me. It's similar to the reaction Dagenham would give if they drew us in the FA Cup: go out, enjoy the game/day out.
The perverted thing in all this of course, is that Arsenal fans pay far more to watch their team than Barca fans do...whilst being perfectly accepting of the fact they'll never be anywhere near the same league. Farcical.
Oh for an "easy draw" like last year

Maybe some people are just happy getting a few days in a nice city, watching a decent match in an amazing stadium.Ikechukwu1 wrote:Absolutely farkin hilarious! 4700 allocation or so. Am I right to say this went all the way down to Reds last time we went there? It was only a year apart thougharsenalmorris wrote:does anyone know of the likely allocation for this (away game) imagine it will be a decent amount due to the size of the stadium

Wehayyy, let's forget about why the club is actually there and just celebrate another hammering and become the whipping boys of Europe once againRobin_L wrote:Maybe some people are just happy getting a few days in a nice city, watching a decent match in an amazing stadium.Ikechukwu1 wrote:Absolutely farkin hilarious! It stops becoming a nice short holiday in a nice city when Messi scores a hat-trick and Neymar bags a double, then Suarez tops it off with a goal and brings out a £1 coin from his pocket to celebrate. After of course, people spent a ridiculous amount of money for travel/tickets and took time off work.

The fact that arda turan will be eligible for this doesn't help much either does it ?

All that time and expense travelling from England to see us lose horribly. Who'd want that?
Me. So should anyone come by a ticket but not want to go, Barca is a short seven hour drive for me, and I'll be glad to do a deal.
I know the city well so am also available as a city guide at very reasonable terms!

Giroud and Suarez on the same pitch!? How will we tell the difference?

Re: Champions League Draw
Colour me surprised.
After our heroics in Greece secured the Consecutive Last Sixteen Trophy, we can get dumped out of Europe and concentrate on the real thing: the Virtual Trophy.
The Eurpoean Cup is not coming.

Re: Champions League Draw
We should buy Messi, Suarez and maybe Neymar in Jan. That should do it!
Or maybe not.

If I wanted a few days away, in a nice city, watching thrilling ineptitude, I'd ask your girlfriend on a weekend away.Robin_L wrote:Maybe some people are just happy getting a few days in a nice city, watching a decent match in an amazing stadium.Ikechukwu1 wrote:Absolutely farkin hilarious! Since this is top-level competitive football though, I'll pass.

Re: Champions League Draw
Two good things from the draw
1.It will be a quick kill
2.We get a chance to see the worlds best player again

Apparently, about 80% of our fanbaseGranadaJoe wrote:All that time and expense travelling from England to see us lose horribly. Who'd want that?

It's incredible really isn't it? The absolute passive lack of ambition. Simply content to make up the numbers and see what a real world class team looks like, enjoy a day out and who cares about a hammering?
That's fine if you're Canvey Island, paying £150 a season to watch your tinpot club play.
When your wage bill is higher than Bayern's, your tickets the most expensive in football and your "manager" is trouser img a King's Ransom for being mediocre, it stops being funny! Also it's not as if watching a thumping in Catalumya will be a new experience will it? It's about as riveting as the usual thrashing in Munich, the usual defeats to Mourinho, etc etc.
At least Monaco was a new element of comedy!
It's no surprise the club continues to bask in mediocrity. My thinking is that I saw Deportivo go to Camp Nou on Saturday and play a perfect tactical game, score 2 goals, and come away with a draw. That's having won there last season, with their rookie manager.
Sadly, I already know the tool in charge of Arsenal will not devise a tactical plan, he will not double-mark Messi, he won't sign a monster DCM in January, meaning Rakitic will shit on Flamini while we're faced with the hilarious prospect of "world class" Giroud

But that's ok cow you just "need to enjoy the day out"

Re: Champions League Draw
This is a perfect draw.
No chance of winning the competition, so let's play the best team and be on our way.
Allows us to concentrate on a competition we do have a chance of winning.

Re: Champions League Draw
Sanchez and Bellerin will be out to prove Barcaw. wrong in their sales, so dont despair in our quest for revenge in the shouldnt have been sent off wheres Hleb when you want him game
. Dont rate Neymar much compared to Messi and Suarez, but then again compared to Giroud he may sneak into the side
