As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have literally never heard a word of discontent about Kroenke at games which is fucking astounding as the bloke is a cancerous leech who would rather see us not succeed because that would mean we've spent too much money.
this is the problem - they know they can get away with it and they will.
great timing by the club by the way. LFC are actually moaning about a £77 ticket (we would actually be celebrating if our category A tickets were so cheap )
When was the last time we protested about anything???
I find it embarrassing that already this season Bayern Munich came to our place and staged a protest, whilst our fans just looked on like simpletons, and with most of their tickets COSTING MORE than the Munich fans.
Then next week Leicester City are going to stage a protest about the late change in kick off time and our fans will do nothing as usual.
I have said it before, although the season ticket holders are the best fans at Arsenal they are holding the club back. If there had been more protests and less tickets renewed then Wenger would have been long gone. If you are a season ticket holder you are by default keeping Wenger in a job. To the season ticket holders - either give up your ticket and start moaning or PUT UP AND SHUT UP
Easier said than done. What you say is, in part, right but as a ST holder of some 25 years, if I give mine up I lose, not only my seat but all the away credits ive built up. Then, in time if I want to go back after the French bloke and Kroenke have left, I go to the back of the queue.
The club know this and play on it while there are many more looking to sign up.
Like everyone, when I got the e-mail, I though piss taking fuckers.
My main issue with this, is, they have a new £5 billion TV contract kicking in and they still want to grab that little bit more out of us. Massive PR fuck up by the pricks who are the Marketing team I would say.

It's more this decision of divvying up the Cats: 6 Category A, 14 Category B, 6 Category C.
We've played Cat A games against the scum, chavs, United, City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich. By adding a 7th Cat A the price is obviously going up, which is at least part-ameliorated by (rightly) making Burnley and Hull Category C
So really they are sticking to the rules by their own book. It's just that book is overpriced in the first place. Category A prices are just flat out too high, and by introducing the Cat C games, what they hoped to happen was that everyone would think "oh well they're taking away with one hand but at least giving back with the other, fair enough", whereas it's merely served to highlight the fact that Cat C prices are a fair price to pay for a standard game of football, with the real cash cow Cat A games being obscene.
The piss-take was the Bayern match being put up to Category A, for a wanky group stage game. That was cuntery of the highest order.
Not one to defend the ownership but sorry, how could anyone have honestly expected anything different? The reason few, if any, of the previous CL group matches were Cat A is because we were almost always Pot 1. Bayern were semifinalists in last year's competition. Still surprising that anyone was shocked at that.
I agree with the prices overall being too high but can't fathom how people don't read T&Cs when they renew or expect home matches against Barcelona or Bayern Munich to be anything other than Cat A.
Isn't this also the same system that yielded a refund for ST holders last season? What's the net difference? 3-4 quid?
"don't read the T&Cs" ...has to be the single shittest, most ridiculous thing I've ever fckung read on this forum.
Andmate, that's up against some pretty stiff competition (easy rodders )
Come now, if you spend over £1000 on something and don't take two minutes to do that, then you only have yourself to blame.

We have a tie!
And if you didn't like the T&C , you'd give up the season ticket, is that right? IS that what you think? Do a survey of how many people have checked the T&C's wall to wall or even if they can remember they exist?
Modern football. Clubs keep on taking the piss out of customers who can't shop elsewhere. Would it be too much for them not to?

I can't stop.
I'm not suggesting giving up the ticket at all or that the club don't fleece gooners. I'm simply suggesting that season ticket holders shouldn't be surprised when things like this happen. It's all written down and shouldn't come as the shock and outrage people are treating it like.
Just received this: We have listened to our fans and recognise that there is confusion about the basis of our long standing policy on season ticket charges for our seven cup matches in our season ticket package. We believe that this policy, which last year resulted in a refund to fans and this year would result in a surcharge, is the fairest of the possible alternatives but we accept, on the basis of the reaction to our recent announcement, that we need to improve our supporters’ understanding of how the system works.
It was never our intention that we would upset those fans who are amongst our most loyal supporters. Having listened to feedback, we are announcing on this occasion that we will not ask fans to pay the additional amount due under our season ticket conditions for the game on February 23rd.
We remain of the view that our approach to our season ticket package of 26 games is the fairest it can be and is designed so that our season ticket holders pay the correct price each season for the matches they watch. However, it is clear that our fans have not been fully aware of the fact that even if we do play 26 games in some years they will get a refund, which happened in 2014/15, whilst in other years they will need to pay extra. This is linked to the teams we draw in the cup competitions.
The feedback since our communication last night has demonstrated that we need to find a way to create a better understanding for season ticket holders on how their season ticket is structured. We will commit ourselves to communicating this, and the rationale, very clearly to our fans going forward so that there is no such confusion in the future. Work has already started to address this.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards
The Arsenal Box Office
I love the way they try to pin it on the fans for not understanding the issue and the fact it's signed by the box office, not the Chief Executive or anyone with a face or name.

No one was surprised ...you don't really get it, do you?!
Still, we a leetle victory mate. Power to the people and fuck the T&Cs
