Looking forward to seeing Chambers. Feel like he has really upped his game last few performances (Bournemouth at home, burnley, Leicester).

Although his performance level dropped off a cliff and he was an utter liability the kid hasn't had a fair crack at things.

He was brought in with 20-odd senior football games to his name at RB having played CM until that point, and chucked straight into the side at CB as soon as he came. As with most English youngsters there was very little perspective and after a few promising performances he was already inked in as England's CB at World Cups 2018, 2022 and 2026

He then found himself playing arse-end bits of games here and there, occasionally drafted in to play in different positions (like CM at Southampton last year). Inevitably his experience began to show, his form dropped off and his confidence visibly spiralled. He needs to be playing most weeks and it's a farce that we haven't loaned him out whilst on the other hand Jenkinson was loaned out again despite being an adequate back-up, given that we all know Jenkinson will be gone (injuries allowing) this summer.

He isn't going to get a shot at RB barring a bad injury to Bellerin - if we don't loan him out next year he will just stagnate as a player and we will end up with a 22-year old who is a worse player than at 19 (sound familiar?). Whilst he should play against Hull, the odd cup game won't really help his development.

Totally agree Chambers hasn't been given a chance, unfortunately he plays in a position where the slightest mistake can be costly as we've seen.

He should have been loaned out at the start of this season to help him find his best position and to rebuild his confidence, but as usual this didn't happen where every man and his dog could see it.

I reckon we could actually try playing a couple of fringe players this game for the full match but who are we kidding that's not the way it happens at Arsene FC

Off topic, but i just don't understand the point in bringing junior players into the squad and then letting them rot on the bench..

I'll wait till I see the team before any predictions on this one. Don't want to see a Carling Cup side out there as it may be a Sheffield Wed result. Playing at home should make the difference even with a second string team. Always will love the FA Cup so I hope we progress again.
