Yep im starting to think the same myself. Some of the bollox that has been written about saving our season, how can beating a championship side mean the season is saved. If we do win it for the 3rd year in a row, il enjoy it, but this season will still have been a major failure for how crap we were in the league.

What is depressing about this cup run is it has legitimately given Wenger reprieve in the view of some fans. "How can you want the manager gone when we are chasing a historic 3rd cup in a row!". Since when did wins against Hull, Sunderland and Burnley somehow justify the manager's position and record?

Since scraping past Wigan and Reading in consequtive semi finals saved Wenker's bacon

As much as I really want to win the FA Cup I somehow feel the humiliation will take on a new and even worse shape should Spuds win the league while we parade around the block with yet another FA trophy.

If the unspeakable scenario happens I would much rather see Arsenal trailing the league and out of sight of any cup trophy that could be made a comparator

Yep im starting to think the same myself. Some of the bollox that has been written about saving our season, how can beating a championship side mean the season is saved. If we do win it for the 3rd year in a row, il enjoy it, but this season will still have been a major failure for how crap we were in the league.

We didn't beat a Championship side as they weren't full strength. When I watched the game on TV I could believe the lack of noise from the home fans. I don't really think Hull were interested.

Heard a quote from Paul Scholes last night about United, where he also took aim at us. As much as it riled me, it was also so true.

He said" United should be competing with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, not settling for an FA Cup and 4th place like Arsenal".
