Re: Wenger Replacement
I voted Simeone, but I'd take anyone on that list, bar Brenda (kudos to the one person who voted for him by the way
), over Wanka.

Re: Wenger Replacement
Apologies, just read over the list again and I wouldn't take Bould either. Sitting there mute alongside Wanka while Rome burns around hm.....he can FCUK right off.

Re: Wenger Replacement
No Mourinho on the list?
I reckon he'd love to come to us and do what Wenger couldn't with these players. He'd piss off the stiffs on the board too which would be fun!
But I'd go for Simeone

I could, but when he's a sly contrarian little shitstain that constantly digs out others on here, it's difficult.DB10GOONER wrote:No chance you could just disagree with him without the need to insult him, huh? They play conservatively against the big sides because going toe to toe against them is idiotic due to the massive squad differences.
Imagine what he could do with more freedom and a massive budget. He's on £4m a year, and we are paying Wenger double that. Think he is a long shot though.
Allegri is a good shout. Tuchel from Dortmund, has got them up there with Bayern playing great football.

To be fair, he is a reformed Wenger supporter, if I am not mistaken, so possibly in the past is what you are referring to?MrT wrote:

There are a couple of newer converts with the exception of Steve_I and LaughingGooner. Funny that they haven't been here for a while now.
I went for Simeone as well and if not him, I'd try Koeman, or Tuchel. Koeman would have us organized and he does play with big strikers as targetmen, so we'd likely see Giroud for a bit longer.

TBH if Brenda Rogers could get on there why not The Spiv Neville? Fuck it, why not the inanimate corpse of Brian Clough?LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:No Gary Neville option

Re: Wenger Replacement
So Wenger has stepped aside, and the interviews begin in the Emirates boardroom.
Stan has flown in, Ivan is there, plus Chips and the rest.
Gazidis - Well Mr Simeone, our first question is the first (and only) question we asked Mr Wenger in the old Highbury boardroom 20 years ago. If we gave you £150 million what would you do with it?
Simeone - I would spend it building you a squad of players capable of competing with the best teams across europe, once I have implemented my training methods and coached them my tactics.
Gazidis - Next!

Re: Wenger Replacement
Eddie Howe?!? Why isn't he on the list? I'd put him ahead of Vieira and Henry. Also, although Guardiola is heading for city, he's not there yet, give him a call as i he'd prefer Arsenal to city.

Maybe Wenger does have a point when he goes on about having 30 years experience in football. ^^ This geezer can't even open his eyes apparently
