city away thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If we win, will they give us the virtual trophy after the match or wait for the lap of appreciation after Villa :barscarf:

Id really like to win, and give United the chance to pip them for 4th.

Wouldnt change our shit season. But throwing a spanner in the City slickers future would be good. Guardiola comes in to manage a Europa league team.

If it's united or City who miss out on the CL, then it will be used as another example of how 'successful' Wenger has been in securing another VT.

And one more for the 'Be Careful What You Wish For" brigade who will point to LVG's wasted millions as a reason why we should stick with TO1AW

But you must know that it isn't about the result it is about the quality of the performance.. Don't look at the table, look at the quality...

We will win on expected goals. Don't really care too much about actual goals :barscarf:

Giroud is so far ahead on the "expected" goals table that he cannot be caught for 3 or 4 seasons.

I wonder when arsenal.com will replace the league table the other clubs follow with AW's expected goals and expected league table :rubchin: I would like to know the full story of our season instead of that half-assed attempt of a league table the FA provide us with.

At 25 softly spoken Aaron Ramsey is developing signs of becoming the leader that Arsenal so desperately need.

Ramsey, stripped of the Welsh captaincy before the the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign because Crhis Coleman felt he was too quiet, was seen angrily confronting Olivier Giroud and shouting at the Frenchman for failing to chase a through ball during the 1-0 win over Norwich.

Ramsey, incidentally, played 102 passes as he tried to get the team going from his central midfield role.

Are the people who report on Arsenal all on some kind of hallucinogenic??

Played 102 passes did he, just the kind of stat Wenger loves.... it's exactly what leads to expected goals.

What they fail to say is the majority of those passes were to himself, the rest to nobody in particular
