Unless I'm mistaken, our ladies squad has gone same way as our mens squad in that it is almost entirely foreigners - god be with the days when we had the likes of emma byrne and faye white as the backbone of our team 8)

You are mistaken.

The vast majority of the club are UK & Ireland, with some foreigners. I'm quite happy with that and would like to see the men's teams follow suit.

Only problem is the lack of decent UK players.

The German centre half looked better than BFG and Gabriel put together.

Emma Byrne was well over rated in the looks stakes... I saw her close up without make up and I've got to say distinctly average

It's a bit like real football but at half speed.

Our U14s side would wipe the floor with them.

Anyone here ever play "mixed" football? (put the cock away, Rodders)

Don't.

In one of my former offices we had a 5-a-side game on a Friday at lunch time. 9 blokes from the office and 1 woman. She played in the FAI women's league and apparently she had been "nearly signed" by a big club in the UK or something. TBH she could play a bit, not brilliant but decent enough. But she took serious advantage of her gender and every game she was going around putting late ones in on the lads because she knew they wouldn't give it back. Not to a girl. Have to admit, I came close to chopping her a couple of times but the gentlemanly side of me held sway. 8)

Cue new bloke in office replacing an injured lad....

After a couple of games of Missy putting it on him late he duly gave her one back, right down the Achilles too. Ouch. Well, she fell down and lay on the ground crying. And then went back to the office and promptly made a complaint to HR. That was the end of the Friday 5-a-side game. :x

And she was a minger. :banghead:

I think he thought "Achilles" was Latin for "Furburger" tbh.

You may well be correct.

Australia, ranked fifth in the world, have just lost 7-0 to an U-15 boys team!!!
