FA CUP

Yet we are the classless scum for holding up respectful banners at the end of games. Give me fucking strength.

Yes that is correct.

Its ok for Everton fans to want Martinez out for maintaining the status quo.

Its also ok for Manures trophy starved wankstains to want Agent Moyes out after not even giving him one full year before they called for his head. And now its also ok for them wanting Beavis out after winning the FA Cup. Yes the same FA Cup that us petulant Gooners are supposed to be happy to have won.

It seems fans of every other club are allowed voice their opinions and let the people in charge know their position and try and influence change coz after all without the said fans the club would be nothing. Us idiots at Ca$hburton have to be careful what we wish for coz our manager broke up a team of invincibles and embarked on a one man mission to go longer than any other manager The Arsenal has went without winning the league.

We have to judge that man in May when the latest capitulation in the league is a distant memory and after all we have secured the qualification to a competition that we can't win. Our manager has earned the right to decide when he wants to go on the back of 12 seasons of under achieving.

Oh yes and we also have to pay the dearest prices in the land in order to see said shite. And be told that there is nobody out there that could improve our team - that was top of the league at the turn of the year and was out of the title race at the start of March after getting beat at home to a team who fighting relegation had all but conceded the game by putting out an understrength team.

Any other manager who kept picking the tongue sticker outer would be called out on it (not just coz he wasn't scoring). Our manager of the decade gets proved right and is "rewarded" for showing faith in him coz he scores a hat-trick against one of the worst teams in PL history when the pressure was off. How long would he last at a real top class team "achieving" what he has for the last decade.

It's the fans who have adorned Wenger with this unchallengeable God-like status and the media merely followed suit.

We've only got ourselves to blame for this. Had the media given Wenger the caning that they have given Martinez and van Gaal until the very recent past they would have had furious complaints from the vast majority of Arsenal fans.

Or as one footie fan in the office recently said to me - a Southend fan btw - so no axe to grind....Wenger obviously has friends in high places who like to go low.

john cwoss being one of em.

So LVG wins the cup and along comes Maureen

We've already waited a decade to win up there in the League so that has just been extended with his likely appointment....

I know that no fans should be allowed to go on the pitch after the game and get in the faces of opposition players so from that degree the hibs fans were bang out of order, but other than that I thought that their fans were exceptional yesterday - thousands of them singing "sunshine on leith" really gave me goosebumps and it is in my head all day today. I thought the fact that their players all knew the words and were joining in was brilliant, and I said to the missus that it showed a real affinity between players and fans that is really seen in modern day football 8)

I know that the Scottish cup final is nothing to do with fa cup final (or this thread) but I really enjoyed that game yesterday and it was a million times better than the shite on display at wemberlee

Palace support was excellent yesterday and has been one of only a few atmospheric home supports in the league the past couple of seasons.

Think Pardew making a *word censored* of himself when they scored put the mockers on them winning....as for Mourinho taking over at OT won't make much difference to us we haven't turned up at OT in years in the league under Wenker :cussing:

Agree with you Augie, the Hibs support was amazing. A club that seemed destined to never win the Cup winning it makes it special anyway..Always had a soft spot for Hibs because in the 70s on our black and white TV they looked like Arsenal.. Their fans were out of order but the scenes during Sunshine on Leith were brilliant..
Fuck United. That was ours to win, actually a double was ours to win but Mr 30 Years knew better..

I'd never thought of that before. Buy well in Jan, after the summer stuff up that is, and we could have had another double. :banghead: :banghead: and thrice :banghead:

Yeah I posted yesterday early on this thread what a great game the Scottish final was to watch and that it would be better than what the English final produced. I also watched the German cup final (0-0 Dortmund v Munich) so the final with the lowest quality players produced the best game and atmosphere.

And I agree about the Hibs fans. That sort of spontaneous and emotional support beats the overrated and choreographed stuff the Palace Ultras ( ) do every time for me. Having been at the Millwall game Friday night, I got a first hand reminder of what atmosphere really is. Not been in a crowd that generated a noise like that for years and there were less than 20,000 there.

It all makes it hit home that there is something crucial missing at the so-called big clubs in english football these days. There is no community spirit at the big grounds anymore. I've had some great days supporting Arsenal but there will never again be a day like the Hibs fans experienced yesterday following a club like Arsenal. The dynamic of our club and its support has been permanently changed and not for the better.
