Arsenal vs Middlesbrough

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Regardless, 3 points is a must!

Oh and hopefully I'll be at the game longer than 10 minutes this week  :barscarf:
They are shit, we are shit and you may shit yourself.

It's possible...even more so after eating KFC this evening :duh:

other than that, boro at home usually means 3 points, and some decent goals. memories of rocastle's dribble in '88, bergkamp's chip in the nineties, a superb pires volley in 2001-02 as well :barscarf:
Sadly I was at the 1-1, dire match, I think Anelka scored late on to earn the draw, I think this was the worst Arsenal match I've ever been at
Was this the game were we had a goal disallowed for offside, even though George Boatang was the one who touched the ball though. I think it was Adebayor who was 10 metres behind the play (no surprise), so it was obvious Adebayor was offside, but again, it was Boatang who touched the ball though making a tackle so the goal should have stood.

I remember as soon as it happened I knew both at the same time, it was a legitimate goal, but the ref would also disallow it.

This is why I have no sympathy for referees, because they so frequently get it wrong, even though you see the correct decision with your naked eye. I didnt even need the benefit of a replay (which confirmed Boatang got the touch).

I dont like reminiscing the 07-08 season. We should have won the league that year. I find that season more a missed opportunity than last year. It was that season, that was the beginning of Arsenal developing the bottlers tag.

These are the type of games where a good Arsenal run becomes unstuck.. Hope it isn't today.. Going for a 2-0 home win..

It's good to see Reine-Adelaide and Maitland-Niles on the bench.

I hope we can get a three goal lead and give them and Perez same decent game time.

Elneny deserves his start as well.

Can we please have one, just ONE game, without a Fawlty Towers incident involving one of our back four???

Normal service has been resumed... Walcott all arms & legs, zero penetration up front and hysterical, leaderless panic at the back. Off to finish mowing the lawn.......

Yet another example of us not taking lesser opponents seriously, how many times has this cost us in the past :banghead:
