I was thinking the same thing...Surely it would be more appropriate if we wore all black seeing as it's the Black Youth who are being killed / killing one another!? :?

How can we play in Leeds colours ?. It's an insult as their supporters carried more knives than I can remember in the 70's. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Can’t say I am happy with an all white kit. I will feel like I am supporting dirty Leeds. Cloughie will be turning in his grave.
I would rather have seen us play in a traditional yellow and blue away kit, free of any sponsorship mentions and names on the back of shirts. Players to donate match day wages and banners displayed pre match.

Wearing a white kit is pointless and just highlights the disconnect that now exists between the players and the local community.

The thing is they are using the slogan "No More Red" - Surely they need to be up-front and honest AND stop hiding behind niceties if they truly are trying to stop young people murdering one another.

:rubchin:

Something along the lines of .... "NO MORE BLOOD" Emblazoned across the Front & Back of ALL premier Teams Shirts - So we get to keep our beloved Red & White and it actually gets the message out there more noticeably.

AND have Boris & Starmer and all their Toady little Oiks made to wear T-Shirts with the exact same wording for the next 3 months. I can see it now Boris & his Beeatch out walking in Regents Park or Kensington Gardens with their new sprog in a pram and the little spunk bubble wearing baby gear; Bonnet & Bib of white with the same words in red.

We all know it's far more complicated than that mate, but if they're going to make such futile gestures at least make those futile gestures worthy of note and above all "Honest".

No more Red what a load of Cutting BOllocks - No more Blood = Better

No More Murder = better still.. Do you catch my drift?

Until the Government gets its ass in gear and actually DOES Something; rather than the platitudes they have been serving up since 1998 regarding Gang s and The ensuing drug money driven violence that has now been adopted by dis-enfranchised young people in the inner cities they (young people) now financed by Drug Gangs will just keep killing each other.

They say it is all about Postcodes / Territory - But it is the Heads of the Drug Gangs that enable and encourage it to keep happening.

There is a very good film (Independent) film called "Blue Story " that was written by one of the young men who used to be part of it that portrays what is happening, the reasons why etc?

The gangs involved base themselves on the Drug Gangs of inner cities in America and the townships in Jamaica: The Language they speak, the music, the clothes - in the postcodes - an individual either joins the Gang of that particular estate / area and adopts what they do or they go "un-protected', not only from the Gangs in the other areas but also from the gang who run the area where they live.

It is genuinely frightening, but of course all dressed up to be Cool and Macho, but is in truth Complete and Utter Bullshit.

The Big Gangs from the major cities: London, Birmingham, Manchester Glasgow and Cardiff - Are responsible for the County Lines Crime that began about 4 - 5 years ago and is now Epidemic - so that they can expand their Drug Businesses across the whole country.

They employ a tactic known as "Cuckooing" Cuckooing is a form of crime, termed by the police, in which drug dealers take over the home of a vulnerable person in order to use it as a base for county lines drug trafficking. The crime is named for the cuckoo's practice of taking over other birds' nests for its young.

Our Department did training in dealing with and supporting 'Victims' of this - The methods and limits they will go to in order to achieve this is genuinely evil, where they identify mainly single vulnerable people: often with learning difficulties or disabilities who live independently but have a support / social worker, or sometimes single young mothers, they threaten, torture, rape and all kinds of other measures which also includes the 'individual' being kept prisoner on their own dwelling or when they do go out they are accompanied by 2 or more gang members.

So whilst we can all view things like the white football kit, the taking the knee etc somewhat light-heartedly and yes they are done with the best intentions (and rightly so) Until The Government Step Up their efforts many young lives will continue to be lost and victims of the drug trade will continue to have their lives Ruined - all in the name of Money.
This is why simply wearing a white football shirt instead of a Red & White Football Shirt doesn't even come close. Sad but True.

You would think Saka , Martinelli and Odergaard should cut through them - it’s a question of if the defence is good enough to keep them out the other end.
