Back to back home games - absolutely massive few days coming up for us this season.

If we end up taking 6 points from those games it’s all aboard the hype train for me.

4 points would be around par for the week but anything less and we’re realistically looking at going into full on T4T mode (top 4 trophy).

Dispatch these fuckers and then all eyes turn the oil cheats Wednesday night where we owe them a fucking beating.

Just had a glance at the fixtures and the game after that is against Don Unai - another away early kick off the following Saturday. There’s a fucking major bang of Goodison Park about that fixture

Ok ok ok I’m getting ahead of myself, steady Roddaz old chap….STEADY YOU C.UNT :banghead:

One of the hallmarks of a title winning team is after a shit result, they come out eager to prove a point the next day. I want us to go at this like it's season defining(and it could be). If we win this, it keeps the 5 point cushion ahead of the City game. Lose it and the cùnts could go ahead of us by beating us next Wednesday night. Arteta has done a really good job this season but it will be telling how much he can motivate the team ahead of this one.

Tough game. Can see all three results.

Just need to come again with speed, aggression and precision.

You want to see a rubbish midfielder at a top club, check out Fred's performance v Leeds.
Which is why he isn’t first choice and Casemiro is. The issue is Xhaka seems to be the first name on the team sheet.

Having said that I do think Xhaka has improved a bit this season

Good point about Fred.

But honestly I don't think Lobotomy Clive has improved. Arteta moving him into that weird empty hole he now wanders around has kept him away from that space in front of the back four where his stupidity and shitness gave away stupid free kicks and pennos and led him to "achieve" the premier league record for the most goals conceded by a single player through individual errors.

He is now just mostly in a space where he cannot do as much damage to us. But the reverse of that coin is he contributes not very much, most often slowing down our pacey attacks and often killing them dead.

He reminds me of Comedy Iwobi alot. A complete bluffer and bullshitter of a footballer.

He totally reminds me of Iwobi aswell  Iwobi who would run back to try and catch an opposing player on the attack..just always a yard behind but never in danger of (or really wanting to) catch up

I've seen some truly spiteful condemnations of Iwobi on this forum, but they don't come anymore spiteful than a comparison with Granit Xhaka. DB knows how to hurt someone.

Poor old Alex.

Iwobi had that manic, charge back to help, going for him (although he never actually caught anybody)

Xhaka lacks that, along with absolutely everything else.

Apart from pointing that is. I have said before his position should be in the car park pointing at empty bays for drivers.

We will Have To Be on Our Toes for this one; Brentford are no Mugs.

They are physically a Big Team, they have pace in their midfield and in their Forwards: Toney and Mbeumo (sp?) work well as a front pairing and If they are form will give our defenders much to think about. They are 7th in the league and for good reason.

They have already turned over:

$hitty - Away
Manure - Away
liVARpool - Away

Yes we beat them Nil - 3 Away and whether it was because we were so good on that day that made them look lacklustre is open to argument, But I think it will all depend on how well we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and get back to form. They will think they can smell Blood after our defeat to the scousefilth knuckle draggers, and if anyone thinks this is amber formality is mistaken.

I think we can definitely beat them and indeed I think we will, in fact I hope we tear them a new one; something we've been threatening to do to someone all season, even if only to demonstrate that last week was a 'Bad Day In The Office'.

We have $hitty up next after Brentford and we need to go into that game with No Injuries, Full of Confidence and Fully Focused without any shadow of doubts about whether we can Win.
