As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
For the last couple of months I have been crying out for the league to return, but now that it is here I am a bit meh about it all Tbh my indifference is more down to the fact that before it even starts we know that citeeh will win it, so I'm in a "what is the point" mode right now
No doubt we will give these a beating - they were my surprise team of last season by a country mile (especially given how often var fcuked them over), but selling neto might be a step too far for them so I am expecting a comfortable home win.
I fully agree and feel the same way. My lack of care also comes from the fact that we've simply not added beyond Calafiori. Knowing we're going into the season without strengthening in the midfield and up front is quite depressing,
I’m finding it all a bit weird.
On the one hand we have a lot of pundits tipping us for the title, we are almost joint favourites for the title with the bookmakers, arguably in our best situation for about 20 years…..yet yet I can’t help but feel we are throwing away a golden chance this summer, and who knows when we will get a better opportunity to go for the title.
As the Premier League season approaches, new rules are set to be introduced in the 2024/25 campaign...
Stoppage time will be shorter, only added if goal celebrations exceeds over 30 seconds.
Semi-Automated offsides will start after September’s international breaks.
Players who are not captains will be automatically carded if they confront referees.
Referees will also no longer automatically give a yellow card for non deliberate handballs.
(*) Whilst I agree with that, they have yet to clarify what 'Non-deliberate' is, I mean some of the Handall decisions given last season were ridiculous. What it does need is 'consistency'. We all remember the 'deliberate' push on Gabriel last season that knocked him over allowing the GeoredieSistershaggingFatPedo's to score their goal.
(*) Oh! Yeah! And how long will that last!? We were one of the few teams that abided by that last season whilst the scouseFilth, Cheaty and manure players crowded around the refs like they were going to give them a right kicking.
I'm all for these rules IF they work AND if they are applied to every team, player and manager etc
Have we bought anyone to replace Avitz yet - Oh no - he's still here !! Next you'll be telling me we've still got Viera !!. Bring back big John Radford !!!.
3-0 to us today.
Zinchenko will start at LB because Timber isn't fit.
Calafiori will be slowly phased in to replace Gabriel.
How long will it take him to go AWOL and wander off somewhere as their right winger goes racing down the flank and our left winger Martinelli / Trossard have to try and race back to cover the acres of empty space?

That 45 seconds is if we kick off. If wolves kick off it will be 15 seconds before he leaves our left side as wide open as Kerry Katona's burst hedgehog on a Monday morning after a weekend hanging around pub carparks riding drunks liking a mechanical bucking bronco machine with its motor stuck at top speed.
