SUPERBOWL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I LIKE AMERICAN FOOTBALL AND HAVE BEEN A WASHINGTON REDSKINS FAN FROM THE EARLY 80's.

LIKE CRICKET, IT IS A SPORT THAT NEEDS TO BE EXPLAINED TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND IT SLOWLY AND METHODICALLY UNTIL THEY GRASP THE CONCEPT. THEREAFTER IT CAN BE VERY ENJOYABLE TO WATCH. BY THE WAY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE GLUED TO THE SCREEN THROUGH-OUT THE WHOLE 3 1/2 HOURS.

THIS EVENING I SHALL BE WATCHING - PARTLY BECAUSE I AM A SPORTS LOVER; PARTLY BECAUSE I AM AN INSOMNIAC - AND CHEERING ON NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS. LIKE ARSENAL IN 2004, THEY HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE HISTORY WITH THE LONGEST EVER UNBEATEN SEASON AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THEM DO IT. 8)

This one's usually quite solid, I watch most of the games that Sky don't show on here

I love the game and once you understand it then you soon realise how tactical it is.

I used to play running back for the Colchester Gladiators back in the late 80's. I've got a British Premier division champions medal somewhere. We played the 'premier bowl' at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham against the Brighton B52's. A crowd of 15000 and a brilliant day out.
I also got onto the pitch at Wembley that year during the Broncos v's Rams exhibition match. There was a passing competition and our QB lead the league in yardage and completions that season. Another great day out. I met the legend that is John Elway. A really nice guy and one of the best QB's the game has ever seen. Happy Days! :D

im not a pats fan, but geniunely felt sorry for them, but credit in particular to the giants defence who played, the pats high powered offence better than any1 could have ever imagined. what a catch by david tyree (no85) on the winning drive, 2 keep hold of that ball was also a miracle. brady was harrased all nite long, and was on his back, more than cheryl cole, has been this year :D
