Why shouldn’t the Premier League go abroad? (11/2)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

IRISHGOONER,

DON'T BE SO THIN-SKINNED!!!  JUST BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE WERE AGAINST THE IDEAS ESPOUSED IN YOUR ARTICLE, THERE'S NO NEED TO THROW THE TOYS OUT OF THE PRAM.  EVERYONE TAKES THEIR SHARE OF STICK ON THIS FORUM - ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY COME UP WITH 'CONTROVERSIAL' OPINIONS. IF YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD WRITE AN ARTICLE THAT WENT AGAINST THE GRAIN OF WHAT MOST FANS THINK, AND EXPECTED NO COME-BACKS, THEN I'M AFRAID YOU WERE BEING A BIT NAIVE TO SAY THE LEAST.

BY THE WAY, WERE YOU BEING IRONIC WHEN WRITING THE FOLLOWING:

va te faire foutre!
ISN'T THAT EXACTLY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE PLANS YOU AGREE WITH COME TO FRUITION AGAINST THE WISHES OF THOSE FANS THAT GO TO MATCHES EVERY WEEK?

The above seems as good a reason as any not to take Premier league fixtures abroad

Sorry irishgooner, couldn't resist it. You should stick around, most people on here have a bit of Irish in them some way down the line - they might even have made a few quid along the way like yourself.[/quote]

I'd doubt that - he seems to think any Irish (including me) left in London are builders and are poor....
Kind of ironic when he says others are showing a lack or respect for 'fellow fans'

Ok maybe thats pushing it but we have many players (and Arsene) and fans from beyond the confines of London....
We've already gone over this - players change clubs fans don't
People didn't want to knock down the North Bank and seat the place
A move which was as wrong then as it is today - a move that has never been vindicated
(a David Dein brainwave if i remember well),
yeah and aren't we oh so lost now he's gone (I think not).
people thought when Henry and Dein left we were fucked
Only Sun reading TalkSport retards - virtually nobody of who's opinion I take seriously thought that.
people resisted the move to the emirates etc etc....
Not in any real significant numbers they didn't - do we need a visa to enter your world or something?
Keep all options open and lets not all close the door at the same time.
Are you keeping open the option I mentioned earlier regarding your misses and the London Gooners annual bukkake party?

It could pay for several airline tickets to Dubai/Tokyo/Jakarta/wherever or forged tickets
My participation on this forum ends here
oh no - what will we do now HE'S gone!
in fact i almost get the impression i'm discussing issues with fuc*in closet spurs scum (ref jim n cus).
More Primary school Psychology - dear me.
Cus Geezer:
Doesn't take much to get the old anti-irish sentiment going in the online gooner these days.....Cus - racism and ignorance are not that amusing.
oh fuck off you faux liberal arsewipe. The only joke on this forum that degrades the Irish and portrays them as stupid is yourself.

I mean look at this one.....
Oh and that Hillsborough remark was in real bad taste - shameful and shows lack of respect for real supporters - something u guys have no idea about!
No bonehead - forged tickets were a contributing factor to what happened at Hillsborough.

Seating the Northbank

Post by QuartzGooner »

It was not David Dein's idea to knock down the Northbank and make it seating.

The government changed the law to outlaw standing at football, after Hillsborough.

The club had no choice.

Dein and the other directors had nothing to do with it.

To be fair they had other options about how to fund it other then 'bonds' 8)
