For those that are interested in anti virus protection, follow the same advice I was given.
1. Back up to external storage everything on your pc that you want to keep.
2. Run a complete system restore.
3. Remove all pre-installed virus software (norton is the biggest offender) and remove pre-installed ISP (usually AOL) as both of these slow your machine down tremendously.
4. Connect to the internet using IE and download 'Bitdefender' anti virus software. It's about £24 for a two year licence, doesn't slow your machine down and is the chosen Anti virus of Reuters.
5. Sit back, pat yourself on the back and stop worrying about viruses. Nothing gets through that bugger.

It would appear that it is only uses of AVG Free that are getting the alert. Like I said I use Norton (paid for) and it is not picking up anything so I would hazrd a guess that AVG is picking up something innocent as suspicious since it is apparently flagging issues with the home page which is 100% my work I and I know that it is therefore "clean".

I am going to install AVG on my 2nd PC and test - will let you all know.

That's what I do but it couldn't erase it off my PC. But apparently it's ok to leave it there as its in 'quarantine' so therefore, can't hurt my laptop.Fabby is a Foot (Leg-end) wrote:With AVG Free you should get an option to send to Vault. It has happen a couple of times to me and I have sent to vault with no problems.

Everything seems fine to me Rob. Would be nice to know how the other users are getting on...
