At the end of the day no one likes players who dive unless they get something out of it.

It would be preferable if teams/players won with out diving but if we was in a position where if eboue dived it from a resulting pen we would win something, i put my hands up when i say, that i for one would be screaming at him to dive.

I've watched every manure game (or at least caught extended highlights) this season (and last) and Dive-aldo dived at least once in every single one of those games (and more in some games)...

He is a diver and a cheat and will NEVER be considered world class by real fans while he does it.

I understand what you are saying mate but I can't agree. The game doesn't have to be pretty for me (though preferable to route one) but it has to be honest. I'd be disgusted at a diver no matter what the situation.

If we don't stamp out this diving shite the PL will end up like Serie A in the late 80's and early 90's; unwatchable.

a few points..the point I was making is ..people in glass house etc...if you going to critisise another clubs players..make sure your own are lilly white..and quite patently they arent are they..so it rebounds on you and makes your statement look foolish

as for your comment about you watching every United game..well I always knew most ABUs are closet united fans ..so thanks for confirming that.

I know it might seem as if im contradicting my self but i'm all for stamping out all cheating diving play acting etc. All im saying is that at the moment given the choice of playing beautiful footbal week in week out and winning something, i would pick winning something everytime.

Although this is being said it must be taken in context with what has happend to us recently. I love it when we play our style of football, its just after 3 seasons of zilch it would be nice to have a bit of silverware.

LOL, im even having a hard time trying to convince myself that i would rather play like chelsea/ronaldo and win something. i think i should retract my previous statement. or should i? Beautiful football or trophys.

I regularly travel from Dublin to London (and have been to Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, Paris, Copenhagen) at considerably more expense than you incur walking to your local in Essex - that is commitment. I know what you mean, MM. But Id rather not win it if it meant someone taking a dive for a penno. That's just me.

If we have to play some shit footy to win then I have no problem with that - I lived through the 70's 80's and 90's when some of our stuff was woeful. So, trophies ahead of beautiful footy (rather both, but if I had to choose). Manure and chav$ki have won the last few titles between them, grinding out results and playing "economical" footy for large parts of their seasons...

But I don't want to win by cheating. We are the Arsenal, we are above that.
