I can't understand early leavers (13/6)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For all you know, Van Persie could have scored goal of the season (I'm just saying he could have done, stranger things have happened) whilst you were busy getting to the pub, that's the wonder of football.
That's it in a nutshell why I don't get the early leavers.

I had a friend who admitted to me that he left Arsenal v Norwich in 1989 when we were 0-2 at HT and missed a 4-3 thriller and a punch up.

In 1991/92 there were loads walking out against Sheffield Wednesday with 1-1 with 20 mins to go, which ended 7-1.

These people are fucking weird.

Yes i agree, also lets all have headsets to listen to the commentary and little flags to wave when we score, lovely.
You'll need the head set so you'll know who scored the late goal while your making the late dash to the pub.
You misquoted me Cus, it was NBN who wrote that about the headsets.

At the San Siro they had TV screen above the seats for replays, even of fouls. I think fouls should now be shown on the score board replays, everyone has mobile phones so get text messages from friends watching on tv confirming or disputing referee decisions anyway.

Yeah deleted the wrong bit when cutting and pasting the quote.

It was aimed at NBN who admitted he leaves early for the pub

Come on the support!

I agree, is a pain in the arse and makes our support look crap.

I don't understand you for out atleast a grand a year a season for your season ticked leave around 15 matches ten minutes early and you lose 150 minutes of football. Seems like a right waste to me...would be understandable if you were watching someone like Bolton...

That's why I love away games so much...bar perhaps the game against the spuds even in which the support by the gunners was great right up until our end emptied...

best match for me all season was Bolton away...or United away...stayed behind for 20 minutes singing the same song....dedicated support.

We want to lose our libary tag but other than that one corner our home support is pretty naff.

Come on the Arsenal, support them stay to the end...and make as much noise as possible...even if your corporate!! You can surely get away with a little song now and then...the boss won't mind! :P :barscarf:
