As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
My dad hates "soccer" and is an old time gaelic games die hard - in all my times playing footie I played in several finals, won a few leagues, was club captain for several years and had a trial with Brentford but in all that time he never once went to see me play but hardly missed any of my gaa games I'll be honest and say that even still, at 43 years old, it is a big source of anger within me and especially now when he is doing the same thing with my two sons (only grandkids he has)
Ironically as far as I can remember he brought me to my first football game when we lived in London and if I'm right in that then the first game I attended was Arsenal v dirty leeds back in the mid 70s
My Dad insisted that his wedding was re-arranged because he didn't realise it was on FA Cup Final day.
Have to say looking back at that my Mum set a dangerous precedent by acquiescing and consequently over three and a half decades down the line she is a fanatic Gooner who goes to most home games despite being largely unaware of football's existence until she met my Dad.
If my old man came on here he'd overtake any of the AKBs who show up from time to time......he really is proud of the fact that There's Only One Arsene Wenger......a true block 2 worshipper of the Coach of the Decade
