Don't want to worry anyone.......

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well saying you want Gallas sold to make way for Sedeross in my opinion is a strange remark, you could even think that the person who wrote it was trying to get a response. Well it worked you got a few in fact. I have noticed this on other threads too
mmmmm... I've noticed it too. Maybe P*nto is back in disguise!!

Shameful own goal , the ball deflected of his knee into the goal, and as for Gallas i rated him very highly untill last season. When he was run ragged by United, Spurs, and Chelsea.

why is gallas better than big phil?

from where i sit big phil is guaranteed one mistake a game is slow and gets caught out over the top.

but gallas is supposed to be experienced acts like a baby, get caught out over the top , can't head the ball and costs us 70k a week.

they are both liabilities but at least i believe big phil wants to win and tres 100% everytime :banghead:

orribileros is 0,50-0,60% of willy's value...i just want to say willy and kolo"mosquito" toure are able to defend...number 6 swissy i'd never see play whit arsenal shirt...we must keep gallas, he has strong personality and determination to win (do you remember st.andrews last year?) we need a real keeper...

You don't think Gallas was better than Senderos last season? I'm glad Wenger picks the team, and not you

Senderos was given very few opportunity's last season, but of those he did let himself down at Anfield. However Gallas under performed last season hugely, and didn't show much more than Senderos

Personally, I thought Gallas was one of our better players before February...in fact during the first 5 months of the season, most people were praising Gallas' performances and leadership! (including me)

After that, it all went tits up...but that can be said for the majority of our players. Cesc stopped scoring; Ade stopped performing; Hleb ran rings around himself; Senderos was awful; Toure was awful; Clichy started making mistakes; Bendtner became Liverpool's best defender; and yes, Gallas was poor too...both as a player and a leader...no arguments there!

A season is 9 months long, and I just thought that gallas was good for about 6-7 months...but was poor for the final 2-3 months; but which Arsenal players played well towards the end of the season? not many of them unfortunately!..and Senderos was as bad as any!

When you play for a big club you have to be on the ball every single minute and every game is a big game - senderos has shown that he makes mistakes too often and whether it is because of a lack of concentration, a lack of confidence or a lack of ability it makes no difference. Senderos is the one player out of all those that are knocked on here on a regular basis that I would love to see make it at our club but sadly we have to accept that it aint going to happen

Agree totally and have posted same on numerous other threads. Big Phil is a great bloke by all accounts but he is NOT good enough for that level. Fact. End of.

I think alot of the people that defend the likes of Big Phil and Almunia on here might just be confusing liking or respecting the poor quality players as people with rating those poor players actual ability.

I may think Phil and Almunia are great blokes but they are NOT top quality and are NOT good enough for a team that wants to win trophies. Sad but true. That doesn't make me less of a Gooner, it just means I can be objective and realistic about our players...

And no one will convince me that Eboue is anyting other than a diving, cheating disgrace that should never be allowed wear our jersey. But then, I do actually think he has a fairly high technical level of ability, but then, against that, he has absolutely no vision or footballing intelligence.

If Sagna was not soo good at right back, I reckon he would be a good CB.

The great thing about footy is that it inspires people to talk and write and express different opinions. 8)
