Atmosphere..the poll

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For all those that agree there is a probelem with the Atmosphere at the Emirates...where do you sit??

We sing at every game and it was good to see that in our new area there are a few people willing to join in...its just frustrating that so many don't bother.

Anyway, this season we've decided we're going to try and start more chants...maybe even a few of the new ones on here, hopefully people will start to join in...we're starting at the Newcastle match!
dont really know why so many of the new fans dont sing - im not saying all fans sang before but its definately reduced in vocal support even though more can get in. perhaps like you say if we all perserve we can encouarge more to sing and better the atsmosphere.
i know what you mean by new fans, and as an old git i can say even some kids, dont sing. As a ''teenager'' myself in the early 70's we all used to sing in the Northbank, now some of the younger fans look at you as if your strange when you try and start a chant

our soul-less concrete bowl of a ground is accousticlly shit ...i cud see the block 6ers jumping about saturday ...but you cant hear nothing and when ive been over than side you can bearly hear the away fans ...sound travel is piss poor at the emirates
I think the idea of the club, which I also agreed at the time, was that it would be better if both sets of set of 'singing' fans would opposite each other creating noise rather then sticking them both together in one area.

Of course I knew that doing this would also be good for the sections either side of the away section. Thus both with Redaction & the two block either side of the away fans would create a lot of noise!!!
This hasn't worked.

I'd agree that most away fans appear to be quiet and only some songs can be pick out over at block 5.
I was hoping that some fans would move to quieter areas and other into the noiser sections but this has not happend.

does anyone else think it might be an idea for ReAction to go round a few other pubs before the game?? tbh it sems there is only singing in the Rocket...not a lot at Chapman or Tollington..perhaps if whey got some singing going in these pubs it would be carried into the ground?
