Strongest starting XI

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thing is, Almunia has really improved since that night, he woudl have saved those if that game was played last week.

Whole game felt like I was in a trance from moment I got on the train at Gare Du Nord...went by so quickly...weird experience.

Nah, if mad Jens hadn't charged out...nah scrap that, if the ref had just let the Barca goal stand, booked Jens and got on with the game...

Pires was our best player that night, even if he got subbed early.

TBH I was gutted to see him start in place of Reyes that night.

But Pires was best player on the pitch..he was bossing the game when he got subbed, had time on the ball, vision for the passes...are you serious Kevinho?

I just thought Reyes had been brilliant for us in the latter stages of our run to the final and deserved to start.

I would have liked to see Reyes, Dennis and Flamini used as subs if we had been left with eleven players!

we need a player at centre back that is good in the sir and on the floor, as gallas and toure massively lack aerial ability! thats that explained!

and i like Eboue, and he has started the season really well and still think he offers more than Walcott at the moment, might have gone for Rosicky and Nasri on the wings but Rosicky doesnt really count does he?
