As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I've seen this before but not quite the same. In my opinion it works better with quicker less thought proviking sums. Say just getting someone to answer 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 really quickly.
The one I know has you ask the person to name the first vegetable that comes to mind. 98% of people will say either carrot or tomato. The other 2% say something random.
The reasoning behind this is when you do maths boffins at CERN or somewhere say that your brain sees a red or orange colour.
It generally does work on most people but as I said I think it works better with quick, less thought provoking sums and face to face where the subject can not get distracted.

Cheers Charlie, long time reader, first time poster, it does work I've used it to get a free pint before.
Had a piece of paper in one pocket that said carrot, and one in the other saying tomato, bet the landlord that a piece of paper in my pocket would be the vegetable he would name in a minute, did the multiplication, he said carrott. Just had to remember the right pocket to get the paper out of.
