Huge huge win - a lot of players played well but nasri was motm for me 8) I have to say though that I constantly wonder where seb is when we are under pressure cos he never seems to be the one that makes the tackle, header or interception so on occasions it does indeed look like djouru is having a 'mare but his defensive partner is awol :?

Have to say that denilson and song were poor enough imo today and arshavin mixed his game with some hard work but some lazy moments :x

Great comment at the end of the interview from cesc.....how can I be motm after missing a penalty

could just be the type of win that gives the boys the confidence they need to go on a great streak of games.

That fucking Flappyhandski has to go!
Why's Song playing so far forward?
Bendtner is fcuking useless.

They were targeting our left side that's why. I think they knew Clichy was a liability and I thought Djourou covered well for him.

That is not the 1st game this season that I have asked that question about seb though cos it seems to be a recurring feeling for me. You can understand why a centre half wouldnt be seen as much when you are playing in a 1 sided game but we are talking about games where we are being tested defensively and yet he is nowhere :?

Really big win and well-earned off a really good performance

Yes we benefitted from the red card, but that is because we took advantge of the orppotunioty. I can't remeber the last time we really use the extra man as effectively - all oiver the pitch - as we did todaty and we had to do just that.

First off a huge hand fro yes Lukasz Fabianski. He has really had a nice run of late and was simply really really good today when he needed to be which is precisely what a good keeper is supposed to be. He was lively alert and perhaps most importantly decisive. Great job from the lad.

The defence in front of him did okay but Sagna was clearly best of the lot. Squillaci had a pretty nice match unspectacular but solid. Djourou and Clichy were more worrying. With Clichy it was the usual getting caught out too often and too easily though he did get better as time went on.. Djourou not so much. He always looked an accident waiting to happen. That accident even happened once or twice but we weren't punished this time.

Midfield was solid, very solid at times. Cesc continues bar that penalty attempt to show he is rounding into form, and it was another impeccable trough ball to Arshavin the eld to the sending-off. He got a lot of rough treatment and seemed to come through it okay as well, so I suspect irt won't be long till we see Cesc at his best again. Song scored a very nice and important goal and while he still seemed to push up too much for my liking he did a nice job of imposing himself once we had the advantage. Denilson got off to a poor start but surprisingly enough didn't fall completely out of the match from there and again as the advantage in numbers began to tell asserted himself a bit more than usual and did a pretty decent job.

Upfront Chamakh worked hard as usual but had a really quiet mtch for him. Nasri was excellent going forward and again asserted himself at the back as well as Man City struggled to keep up. Cracking finish after very nice interplay with Arshavin, who himself didn't have a lot of attacking chances but also worked hard all over the pitch which is a nice change from the Russian.

Not much from the subs apart obviously from a very nicely taken goal from Bendtner who continues to show he is much more hungry to me coming from the sub's bench and will get on the end of and take more chances in that role by far than when in the first 11. Really nice goal, Nic.

Terrific result really. We rode our luck a bit early on and rode it with some style and efficiency from there and that's what we're supposed to. That's what any top team is supposed to do then.. The question is what happens from here when that luck isn't there to ride again.

I was having a go at Djourou until I saw that every time he fucked up he was in the left back position covering for Clichy. And I'm not a Clichy hater!

Fair play. Second half we played it smart for once. Kept it simple and always looked threatening. Defensively we looked a bit shaky but limited them to very few chances, and when called upon Fanbianski produced the goods. Hope we don't turn in an arrogant performance next week on the back of this result though.

Who's having what then?
