So did 10 of the 11 players of Arsenal 20 minutes into the game...so you weren't alone mate!

I know the result didn't matter for us, but that was an utterly spineless performance from us. Flappy and Mannone should never be allowed to play in goal for the rest of their lives, all of our defense were shocking, Squidward and Djourou especially. Arshitvin really was anonymous today, why he is still in the club is a mystery. What this proves is how we have absolutely no cover if any of the first team get injured. If we lose RvP and Chesney we really are fucked. Chamakh simply has no clue anymore. We were sloppy and gutless. :banghead:

The only player who can hold his head up high today is The Ox, surely he needs to be on the bench ahead of Arshitvin by now. Yossi's goal was amazing as well. Best part of the game was hearing that Marseille were winning, at least we can end with a laugh.

After watching that debacle do you think any player worth his salt would sign for us ?

What? You mean players will sign because they want to play with Chamakh, Djourou, Arshavin and a load of youth players?

Awful display, even though it was a nothing game there is no excuse for it.

Arshavin, Djourou and Chamuck deserve to be singled out but they were all terrible except Chamberlin in parts.

Not even going there with the keepers.

No mate, what I mean is that any ambitious footballer will take one look at the pile of shite that we have as back ups and realise that this club is fcuked when any of our first 11 gets injured (and some of them are shit too  ) and they will instead opt to sign for a proper big club that is serious about winning trophies and not just talk about being a top club and charging fans as if we are a top club

No they won't, you're being dramatic, today was a nothing game, granted it was bad but it will have no baring on players coming in, what will is money and ambition.

Players will look at today and think that the club did well to qualify as winners of the group with a game to spare while more ambitious teams are limping through if that.

Keep tonight in perspective, crap performance, end off.

I know that this was a 2 bob game but to top this off is our away record in the CL. Its truely awful. Once again with no pressure on the result we still couldnt beat a very average team at their ground. When will we ever learn to have a more diciplined attitude in our players make up rather than the "Fuck it, i will pick up my money whatever the result!!" attitude.
Arsene take note please.....

I think it's all too easy to say it was a nothing game, if we get injuries we're relying on some of these players to step into the breech and they show nothing, no passion, no interest because they know they're never going to be regulars in a million years.

We've got Wenger to thank that we're now got a half decent starting 11 but backed up with a cossetted back up team that are just happy to sit on the long fat contracts, when they get a game show no fight, no passion because they know they're going to be out once the injured player gets back. No competition in the squad, god help us if we get a few injuries.

It used to be that players played with pride to play for us, no longer now. The only thing that surprised me was that Wenger didn't give the captaincy to Squillachi.

Tonight, Pep Guardiola played a team of kids. TEN changes to his starting eleven. Little fact for you here and all those who whine endlessly about money, FFP, bla bla etc.

The Barcelona side that won 5-0 tonight, put together, cost less than Sebastien Squillaci.
The highest wage earner in that Barca side according to Mundo Deportivo is Pedro, who earns a reputed £40k a week. That's less than Chamakh, Denilson, Bendtner and co.
Andrey Arshavin is a £15 mil squad player who hardly plays and then muppets dare to go on about lack of funds.

Pep Guardiola took a group of academy kids and got them working, hustling, playing class football.

Arsenal is not a club that "does things the right way".
Arsenal have more mercenaries than Citeh. Difference is, Citeh mercenaries like Aguero, Silva and Nasri are class players who perform.
Arsenal's are shite.

Wenger earns £6.5 mil a year.
Guardiola earns £4 mil a year.

Wenger FC is a big fucking sham.

Ask yourself how much Mannone (£30k a week), Chamakh et al are earning. Then ask yourself next time you hear a deluded Gooner go on about lack of funds, mercenaries etc....

Arsenal are managed by a c*** of the highest order and stacked with clowns in this squad. When the inevitable injuries happen, you'll all be warned.

Yes, I did put a thread up during the close season about putting a bid in for Brad Friedel, but it was pretty much shot down in flames, we were desperate for a decent, experienced backup keeper to Chesney, we're definitely fucked if he gets injured or loses form.

Arsenal have NEVER won the last group game in the CL when it's away from home. It shows that Arsenal have never had a decent squad, just a first 11 (maybe 14) of varying quality.

The problem is, Wenger is too blind to even see the ramifications of this result, and others where the 'second string' have played a big part. He'll stand there and trot out the same old bullshit telling all the sheep that this squad has great potential and he believes in it. Enjoy tonight AKB's, because this team is fucked. Totally reliant on one striker and one keeper. What a state to get in. :banghead: :banghead:

Frank; why would Friedel come to us and sit on the bench when he can play week in week out for the *word censored* bastards? Obv we are a massively bigger club but at that stage of his career he knows time isn't on his side and he'd rather play I'd imagine than sit on the bench wearing a more prestigious shirt....

He didn't go there originally as a number 1 keeper matey, I think he got in due to an injury to Gomez and stayed there, but it goes to show what competition does, it pushes players and makes them play better, we have no competition at our club, hence why there is a malaise within the team when shit players like Song can be regulars.

barca dont need to pay big wages because they're barcelona. People will take a pay cut to play for them, because of certain perks...... like trophies. Lets not compare ourselves with them.

Also nasri is sh1t, and you can bet your bottom dollar if he was playing for us tonight he'd have found somewhere to hide on the pitch.

Many of these squad players shouldn't be here still Chamakh, Arshavin, Skillaci, Djourou, Fabianski didnt learn anything, we knew they were awful.

We know we dont have squad depth, and without RVP we are screwed.

We can only hope we can limp into the january transfer window

and er wenger to buy some players  -> (like a striker).

The first 11 is decent they've proven that but a few injuries and we'll bomb down the PL table.
