You can blame arsene for many things but the pre season sellathon in Asia is not down to him, he takes the team to where he is told to.......surely.

It sounds like he is actually complaining about the tour if you ask me and just expressing his concerns with how it has not helped the players achieve match fitness.
I agree, it does sound like he is complaining about the tour BUT he is responsible for it as he is responsible for everything.

how difficult was it to fly them out a couple of days late ? - i mean they went first class with BEDS for effs sake...

speculation is all we've got....the club and wenger the 7.5 mil wum, do not want you to know anything about the business model
as for fitness i don't think they are at all....wenger 's health spa does'nt do defending/marking/strength training...so injuries and being knackered are always happening....its all soft tip tap...and mental strength....if he is complaining its because his team looked so ordinary and he is never wrong

Particularly don't undertand it with Giroud, France went out of the Euro's the day before England!

Wenger's a liar I hate him, he's always saying BS things because he has a sporting agenda,
never says his players were rubbish even when they were boohoo gnash teeth
Wenger's said we will/wont sign somebody its a disgrace
Wenger says somebody will/wont play its a disgrace
tear out hair, jump from edge, cry, wash, rinse, repeat

cognitive dissonance much?

How can he say he CANNOT play them pre-season? I presume that every other player who participated in the Euro knockout rounds will also miss the start of the PL season then?

Chamakh vs Sunderland is actually going to happen. Inevitably Giroud/Podolski's first involvements will be getting thrown off the bench to try and salvage the match.

I personally dont give a fuck what Wenger says, I care what he does and how he manages and whatever way you spin it having two players signed right at the start of the window unprepared for the start of the season is poor management. Full stop.

Our new signings started games at the beginning of last season too. They weren't prepared and you may or may not remember that we were absolute muck.

er no, no they didn't
we signed Ox, Mertesacker, Santos, Park and Gervinho
only Gervinho started any of the 5 August games we played - red carded against Newcastle, good v Udinese

I'm not talking about just August. When our new signings came straight into the team we didn't look coherent for some months and ended up scraping through 1-0 homes games against Swansea and getting dicked 4-3 at blackburn.

I'm sure at the time you were telling us all that new signings needed time to gel into the team but now that following that line of thought means you would have to question Dear Leader's handling of Giroud/Podolski you've suddenly had a change of heart. :blah:

you might not think we 'looked coherent' but the results over the next couple of months are consistent
September record (when our signings start playing) 6 games, won 4, drew 1 (away to Dortmund), lost 1 (a game in which we scored 2 OGs Blackburn had more goals than shots)
in October we play 6, win 5 and lose 1 (late goal keeping error at the shithole)

don't understand this point I think the players settled surprisingly fast
but I havent changed my mind at all
I think preseasons all well and good but you need real competitive games under your belt to settle in
Gervinho was excellent in preseason last year - doesnt mean anything, its about proper gametime

 Yes, own goals dont count

I watched us against Swansea and we were fucking awful. If you're writing off goalkeeper errors then you can chalk off that win. Dortmund was a good result but we were outplayed throughout. 2-1 against Olympiacos we were muck after the first 20 minutes or so and I seem to remember Bolton at home being nowhere near as convincing as the scoreline suggested.

I take your point that results could have been even worse then they actually were but anyone that watched us in September and October knows that we were poor and fixtures were kind to us. Personally its a risk I'd have quite liked to avoid this time round, especially with no established captain-striker to drag us through.

dude your argument was nonsense
before the signings came in we were weak - the new players solidified us

'the some months' you talk about were some of the best of our whole season
accept you were wrong and move on
we all make mistakes
