Yes, he threw the game for the team.

We were 2-1 up, still in control and looked likely to grab a third then the silly tit gave away a free kick *I beleive was him* then when Van der Vaart takes the kick he then, for no reason at all sticks his hand out to stop the ball. From then on he played awful throughout the match, giving the ball away, commiting silly fouls also killing the buzz we had.

It was fucking stupid in any game but against thee Spuds WHY would you go all out to smack the ball with your hand right in front of the ref?
Threw the game?? i.e. match fixing? :? - surely that's a ridiculous accusation, isn't it? :o

People make mistakes all the time; doesn't necessarily mean they're guilty of match fixing :o - you'll be accusing Sagna of match fixing against ManUre next...
I understand the confusion caused by my comment but if you had actually decided to read my whole post you would see why I said what I had said, never at all claimed he was paid to do so or what not.

I don't get why people often highlight one part of someones argument and ignore the rest just to make a comment. :rubchin:
I'm not responsible for what you post. You elected to use "threw the match". If you didn't mean it, don't say it? :?
You're responsible for what you choose to follow up on though and and you decided to only highlight half of my argument, ignoring the other half which is the explanation of my whole point.

It's not that is didn't mean what I said, I admit I phrased it wrong but my explanation was in the same post you decided to quote & question.

whenever Cesc was in a wall he had his hands high, was surprised nobody on the coaching staff picked up on it earlier
accident waiting to happen and an annoying habit

it's a small failing in wall technique, hardly a good reason to dislike a player or not sign somebody
just tell him not to do it...

Agree. As I said, think it was the season before and we beat Liverpool 1-0 at home and they had a free-kick in stoppage time and he did exactly the same and got away with it. Amazing that with all the analysing data and footage that goes on that nobody would have a word with him.

It's not the reason I don't want him back, the reason I don't want him back is the way he acted in the whole saga. I can't stand him for that.

If he does come back then Arsenal have re-signed a fantastic player who will no doubt do well but I won't be looking forward to the media circus surrounding him.

I think he's destined to be an Arsenal legend. He wasn't quite there at the time he left us, but was as close as a player can be. It's not working out for him at the whores, it never did. All his good times were spent with us. He'll return and cement his legendary status, probably helping us return to the glory days along the way. It's just meant to be.

I know it all sounds too fairytale-ish, but still.

i find it unbeleivable that some people here wouldnt welcome Cesc back.so what he left for Barca, they were his boy hood club, incidently hes on less money there than he was with us so the argument that hes' a money grabber is a non starter.utd are trying to re-sign Ronaldo, the utd supporters im guessing will be well up for it,who wouldnt want Ronaldo in their team even if he did fark off to further his career same as Cesc,to not want the return of a world class player is just bonkers and shows how blind, fickle and deluded some football supporters are, some people will argue day is night just for the sake of it,i just dont get it :(

er simply - no! only a very very few players should return to their former clubs and Cesc IMO shouldn't be one of them.

Sometimes it gets better ie Keown was better when he came back compared to early stint.

But, no he's moved on and that's it. But while Wenger is Manager there;s always a chance of Cesc, Thierry after he retires, DB coming back to play at 40 odd and even Charlie George putting on his boots again. Because AW cannot think logically anymore .....

Leave their golden years (Cesc, DB10, TH14 etc) as they are ... intact and legendary!

We need more legends (like Jack PG) and we wont get them for many years with AW still on board and his current state of dross picking ..

you do know how old actually Cesc is?
that's a very bizarre post - why on earth would his best years be behind him?
and his 'golden years' should be left 'intact and legendary'...??
for us he was an excellent young player, in a team never good enough to win anything
personally don't care if he plays worse and we win something, be happy for that legend to be punctured.

Wenger has loads of failings
(I've been beating the non-signing of a striker to death after convincing myself we were bound to make a big signing last window)
but IMO it's Wenger-haters, with baby+bathwater comments like these, who demonstrate they can't think logically anymore

once again a so called gooner who can't let someone comment (which we're all entitled to) without giving insults like "baby+bathwater", "can't think logically anymore". you're entitled to agree/disagree with posts mate, but you've crossed the line. Oh i want to retaliate, but i won't - i'll restrain as i'd then just be the same. So my advice is yes agree/disagree or son't even respond, but lay off the personal comments. It seems so many now think they can say what they want about people (even one's own set of supporters) on social networking sites.

try googling before getting on your highhorse

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Throw_out_ ... bath_water
"Throw out the baby with the bath water is an idiomatic expression used to suggest an avoidable error in which something good is eliminated when trying to get rid of something bad,"

"Can't think logically anymore" is a direct quote from your post
