Re: QPR GAME THREAD

You put your left foot in , left foot out, in out in out shake it all about you do the okey kokey and u turn around !
TV5 seems unsure if his right leg should be in or out ,the OX got confused from the outset and is wondering if he's used too much blusher the lord Wengers left testicle may have been caught in the handbrake we put on in the second half .

Agreed 100%. Can't believe we now have people who are writing off Podolski after a couple of games in the center! FFS!northbank123 wrote:Yep. Have to say it's very tempting to put forward all the excuses for Podolski that have worn very thin with Giroud (e.g. lack of support, etc) but at the end of the day the fact is he's not good enough to play that role effectively for us. Still think he would have done a considerably better job over a season than Giroud but I think there are very few players in world football are. I don't think this rules Podolski out as a good striker, I think it rules him out as a good striker in our much-maligned system.QuartzGooner wrote:Anyone else think that the great myth that Podolski would instantly be a star striker has been laid to rest?
Prefer him wide left or perhaps number 10.
We need to buy a striker this summer.

All this hysteria about him is silly too. Who actually ever said he was in RVJC's or Messi's class?

No, he is a solid striker that could become a very good striker under the right manager and played in the right system. He is without a shadow of a doubt the best most natural finisher at the club.
But he is being played in a 4-5-1 when it is obvious he doesn't have the pace to play off the shoulder or the aerial ability to play closer to the box (redundant idea anyway because we don't have anyone that can cross a ball in our starting 11 and even if we did who then would he head it on to?). If he was played week in-week out as part of the 2 in a 4-4-2 I believe we'd soon get a 20+ PL goals a season return from him. This would also depend on getting the ball into his feet quickly and not tippy tappying our way forward with 235 slo-mo passes like we currently do.

Again, his supposed "failing" is (for me anyway) down to Wenger not using him to the best of his ability.

Wenger; "WhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Ox; "Fuck. Did you just hear someone whining like a big baby?"
TV5: "Jesus Christ. How gay do I look in these boots? Fucking endorsements."
