As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes, I have played a game. In fact I played in goal for Arsenal at academy level when I was younger. I played in goal most of my adult life until it caused me to have three right knee operations on in six years and now I can't play. I can't even run without agony.
So yes, I have played.
Ok then how would you have handled the one on one and the pen? Do you think a keeper needs to be an arrogant so and so? Because in 38 seasons of playing (and counting) I've never seen a good one that isn't a wanker egomaniac.
Honestly, I'm listening on via Soccer Saturday so I can't see how the player came towards Sneezy but from experience, darting towards the player, closing down the angle is the priority. Going to ground and diving at their feet should only be done if you can judge that you're a split second quicker to the ball than the forward or at a last resort - again, I've not seen it so I can't judge on what I've not seen but I know Sneezy is at fault for misjudging more than he should.
And arrogance/ego of a GOOD goalkeeper comes off the back of a reputation of a good few years behind him - at least at professional level. Sneezy hasn't got much of a reputation or a good few years behind him. Arrogant 'keepers aren't a bad thing but Sneezy is OVER arrogant. That is probably something Wenger's not helped with by not buying an older. better 'keeper to rival him.
I think Sneezy could be good but far from it right now.

Looking at strikers and listing the likes of Shearer, Henry, Cantona, Suarez, van Judas, Rooney - I'd say that they're generally far more arrogant and egotistical by nature.
Yup keeper and strikers are wankers. You list the keepers, guarantee all of their back fours need earplugs.
So because a huge part of a goalkeeper's game is communication and organising the team in front of him, that makes him arrogant?

Great player!
Oops - did you just see that attempted finish ??
You're going to look like a fool when we scramble an 88th minute winner and hang on for dear life SteveO! Again, they waltz through our non-existent DM and our centre backs contrive to open up the goal for them.

You sound right up Wenger's street, mate, injured and in pain. How have you not had a phone call from him and a ten year deal on £100,000 a week?
Although not injured not in pain I do spend my days waiting by the phone for the call up.
How much are you on the market for? If it's more expensive than a free, you'll have priced yourself out of Arsenal's market.

I can hear the engine revving on Wenger's shopping trolley for the 'Supermarket Sweep' style panic buying-spree that's sure to follow to cover the injuries from this match...
