World Cup 2014 Squads and Games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think they are the Bookies favourites only because of home advantage.

Have said that for a long time - they have absolutely no quality strikers and when you see jo as their substitute striker, you know straight away how shit their options are

Anyone else getting a bit bored of all the idiots in the grounds who seem more interested in watching the big screen rather than the match. Either watch the fucking match or stay at home. The Brazilians seem to have become the Newcastle of international football. Completely obsessed with their own image and letting the world know just how much they love football and how they are much better fans than everyone else.

Isnt that the same at every ground including in the premiership grounds ? I have long since argued that no action should be shown on the big screens at the grove except during half time or at the end of the game - mind you I was quickly shot down on here when I suggested it

I thought Billy Bender and Sanogoals were two of the worst striker options in world football.......then I saw Fred and Jo !

Even when their teams are losing in the late stages of a game they go into a frenzy when they see their faces on the big screen. Muppets. Remember United fans doing it at Wembley after they lost champions League Final to Barcelona a few years back...

Ditto.

Brazil are blandly average barring Neymar and a couple defenders, Their "strikers" are a disgrace to all the greats who came before them - so far below their normal standards.

Can't see them winning, Germany will likely do so - I'd be surprised if Brazil even make the final.

Totally Agree very average team, Fred was just static but ochoa did save them. Tiago's header was nice and the keeper had a jerzy dudeck moment. They did create chances brazil but were met by a good keeper.

Well done mexico hard luck brazil..

The two pre-tournament guides I looked at both reckoned Brazil have a very strong defence to compensate for their lack of firepower up top. Looking forward to Chile v Spain later.

Their strikers are as simple as their names: Fred, Hulk, Jo...

I don't expect them to have Ronaldo/Romario level players, but fu*k me they're dire... Among the worst strike force at the tournament and we're talking about Brazil FFS!
