The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Liverpool and Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao, 26, after it was made clear he was unwanted at the La Liga side. (Daily Express)
Lets hope so - a third left back is just what's needed. We'd have him at centre half after a fortnight anyway

This is the type of profligate signing activity you can only get when you have a perfect storm comprising of a manager not afraid to spend BIG and a scouting network all over the world working 24 hours a day to bring in top, top quality.SteveO 35 wrote:The last few January's activity:StuartL wrote:As long as we can get someone of the super quality of Sanogo or Kallstrom (preferably already injured ) all will be well.
2013/14 - nobody signed permanently, Kallstrom on loan
2012/13 - Monreal signed
2011/12 - Eisfeld signed, Henry on loan
2010/11 - Squillaci signed
Every stupid c u n t journalist from Cross to Olley predicting big things in the transfer window should take one long look at that fucking list of shame above it
We should be eternally grateful.

you're going to look pretty damn silly mate when we have our 30million bid accepted for Alex Mong on January 1 ain't ya ?SteveO 35 wrote:The last few January's activity:StuartL wrote:As long as we can get someone of the super quality of Sanogo or Kallstrom (preferably already injured ) all will be well.

i can see Wenger's smirk right now "wheel yeez i always knew he would come good and play for a top four side".....

Song will then return to mistimed late tackles from being out of position, and picking his nose.
"ONE......"
Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Even the one big money signing he brought in Arshavin rescued him a Be All and End All spot and then went missing for 3 years. Of course, the tactical genius that is There's Only One didn't play him in an FA Cup SF against Chavski despite him being in a rich vein of form and cup tied in Europe.......still what would I know eh......30 years and all that

Yeah and it was all his fault I suppose......as opposed to that Polish muppet in goal who went wandering around off his line again to gift Dogbreath another goalvillej wrote:He chose to play Diaby..SteveO 35 wrote:Even the one big money signing he brought in Arshavin rescued him a Be All and End All spot and then went missing for 3 years. Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
Id forgotton Eisfeld was signed for £475,000 in Jan 12.
What a complete coup, played 2 games both in the League Cup, scored a goal (Good one actually) then leaves for Fulham for an undisclosed amount in July 2014.
When signed Wenger said he has ""the attitude and technical ability to be a valuable addition to our squad."
After the WBA match Wenger compares Eisfeld to Pires http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... e-of-pires
No more first team appearances were made after that quote. Nil. Which only goes to prove that as well as being utterly incompetent Wenger hated Bobby and couldnt tolerate another one.

Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
I seem to remember part of his warped logic being so that we could prove that we could win big games without him ahead of our CL semi return leg against United. Which made me feel a lot happier watching Adebayor sulk like a c unt in a Wembley semi final ahead of United handing out a two-legged dicking which at that point was probably the worst wed received.SteveO 35 wrote:Even the one big money signing he brought in Arshavin rescued him a Be All and End All spot and then went missing for 3 years. Re: The January Transfer Rumours Thread
The only amusing thing about the first leg defeat was that it provoked the whole 'Almunia for England' debate as he had undoubtedly his best game in the shirt. I just think it was everyone in Wales, Ireland and Scotland behind that particular debate !northbank123 wrote:I seem to remember part of his warped logic being so that we could prove that we could win big games without him ahead of our CL semi return leg against United. Fair to say he extinguished that particular debate when he let Ronaldo's 40-yard daisy cutter squirm in at the near post in the return leg.SteveO 35 wrote:The only amusing thing about the first leg defeat was that it provoked the whole 'Almunia for England' debate as he had undoubtedly his best game in the shirt. Given that its in the Metro its likely to be the biggest pile of ***** going....but if There's Only One was going to spend 'big' in January (as if).....it would most probably be on a 20 year old striker as opposed to the CDM and CB the whole world knows that we need

Behind Remy, Kalou and Joe Cole surely one of the most 'linked with' players for There's Only One

Step forward Yann M'Vila

Tut, tut. While you lot are at home eating mince pies and pulling your plonk, Le Fraud is sat in his mansion watching a third division match from Botswana and unearthing our next super quality signing. And you sit there and take the piss you ungrateful cretins.
