I've followed Arsenal for over 20 years and I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that was the worst European performance I have ever seen from us and we've seen some horror shows in our 16 years or whatever it is of consistent qualification for this competition. Oliver Giroud, Ozil, Mertesacker and Sanchez all probably had their worst games in an Arsenal shirt. Every player let the supporters of this club down tonight big time.

I used to dread going to school or work after a defeat. The way I felt would turn my stomach and piss me off for days. These days, well, I don't feel anything. I am so apathetic and disenchanted with the current set up that I don't worry about going in to work. The guys there - Spuds, Chelski and victims fans among them, don't even bother with banter anymore as they know it doesn't affect me these days.

What is the point of finishing in the poxy top 4? What is the point of being in this poxy competition, only to struggle out of the group stage before whimpering out in the last 16, no matter who we face? What is the point of signing players of the likes of Sanchez and Ozil, when we know it's a waste of 1 or 2 years of their careers coming to us, before slipping off to some other team with ambition?

Must have been watching a different game. He made two decent runs & bottled out of it (shooting) when the keeper looked like smacking into him. Apart from that he did very little else. Just like everyone else on the day !!. This team has no width either attacking or defending. Walcott may help us if he can use his speed out wide but I still think he see's himself as a CF which he's not. Today was pathetic & we will be lucky to finish in 6th spot unless we improve on this.

No, what it is Ray, is that you don't like Walcott or rate his runs, which at times are a striker's runs.

Walcott posed more of a threat in 10 minutes than Welbeck, Sanchez and Giroud did all game. At least he kept the width and stretched the defence.

Our full backs are the worst. There is no RB and No LB to close down. Suddenly it become to 2 against 1. They kept on playing ball into right side of our defense.

I said on page 1 that if we played anything like we did against leicster we would be embarrassed and thats exactly what happened. exact same team except gibbs and bellerin. playing a middle 3 of ozil, cazorla, and coq simply doesnt work, yet the dope in charge doesnt know that somehow. welbeck is absolute trash and playing him wide is just making it worse. he consistently comes inside, we have no width, and he doesnt track back well enough. Walcott should start 100% of the time over him. Ozil is a fucking player you have on your team when the rest of the team are solid at the other 9 field positions. Ideally he gets carried by the rest of the team and is able to create when that's his sole responsibility. This team is no where near solid enough at every other position. He is wasted on this team, and he looks really bad. I'm not a fan of the type of player he is, but Wenger paid 40million for him and I dont know why, since he was never going to fit in here. Passed on Cesc because of Ozil. Worst decision I can fathom.

Giroud...I don't get this guy. He looks like a quality enough striker at times, then he goes and has games exactly like this one where he looks like he would struggle to get in to a pub team. Mertesaker is done. If he plays another game in the red and white, its 1 game too many. Gabriel looked good enough in his 1 appearance to throw him out with Kos from now on. Sanchez tries and tries but the rest of the team let him down badly. I'm not saying he's had good games recently, but you can tell he's trying to do everything on his own because the rest of the team are shit. Coq, not good enough. This is the most important position on the pitch (imo) and Wenger cant seem to notice that we havent had a good one in a decade. Gibbs, idk about him. Braindead? Monreal is not good but he's better than Gibbs at this point. Ospina is bang on average and not good enough.


I read Wenger's post game statements saying the team were committing defensive suicide especially after it was 1-2...THEN WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF THE FUCKING BENCH, GET YOUR HANDS OUT OF YOUR POCKETS AND FUCKING COACH. YOU STUPID FUCKING C U N T. There isnt a quality manager in the world that would sit on the bench doing absolutely fucking nothing when his team has 9 guys in the offensive half of the pitch in the 93rd minute. Mourinho/Ancellotti/Pep would be screaming at his team to get back and stop being fucking dumb. ZERO tactical awareness from this team, which is all down to the manager and lack of coaching the team. Like Souness said, this team looks like 11 players all playing their own individual game without a true game plan. Speaks volumes of the fuckwit in charge.
