Crossing doesn't seem to be the plan, although we occasionally give it a go, shooting appears to be discouraged and quick movement is clearly prohibited.

Like in basketball, the best teams move players in and out of the box to move defenders and create space. We mainly stand around and hope that something will happen.
Maybe if ur on over 100k a week you should have some idea wat to do when ur in around d box.Can blame Wenger for a lot but some of these guys have to stand up too.Anyhow, think we'll be there or thereabouts at d end, likely to b WBA and Shampton results that haunt us than this weeks.

Teams need to play as a team. You can't leave individuals to decide for themselves. It's called tactics.

Before the game I really thought that a draw wouldn't be a good result especially after the Liverpool result, but with our 2 best players out in addition to Coq and Cazorla it's not too bad. Especially with our track record there and the results theyve had against top teams... The way the game panned out it was obvious we didn't have enough creative flair on the pitch and would need to grind out a result which we did. A clean sheet here is decent.

With our top players all due to come back in the coming weeks, I feel that if we can still be top by the time our squad is back to full strength, (mid Feb by all accounts) then we have every chance of winning the title.

All the injured players will be fit soon ?. My only worry for the rest of the season is that Theo & Ox will be on the bench. That means if we have an injury we'll have to put them on the field again !!. Neither team had a decent strike-force today. Cech MOTM. Now for Chel$ki. Goota 'do em'. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Their fans really a bunch of fucking morons aren't they - any grown man who goes to a football match and boos incessantly when the other team have the ball or get a corner should really take a long fucking hard look at themselves. Pea brains ! Took them an hour or so to work out Monreal wasn't Ramsey
I was wondering why they were booing Monreal, thought it might be mistaken identity. In fact Monreal looks more like Crouch so maybe they thought it was Crouch who had left them. Their fans are vile, the song about Ramsey walking with a limp crosses every line of decency.
On the game itself it was similar to Anfield without the goals. casual passing and blind running cost us possession and invited unnecessary pressure. Agree with posters who are calling for Theo to be dropped. Minimum contribution from him today and at Anfield, playing on the left doesn't suit him but Campbell deserves to keep his place ahead of him . If City put four or fives wins together they will win the league.
Walcott looked totally pissed off about being subbed yesterday but you wonder why. His contribution was minimal, never attacked their defence and never tracks back and helps defend so why he was sulking I don't know. Maybe it was because he was stuck out wide again...........................Campbell, another hard working performance from him. He deserves to keep his place.

To be fair 2 draws at Liverpool and Stoke aint bad but when you look at the away games we have left (Everton, City, United, Spurs, West Ham) I do seriously wonder if we can get enough wins from them, which we will have to do if we want to win the title.
With a full squad to pick from I would be optimistic but the injured players always seem to be some weeks away.

I think our "performance" has been pretty much covered on this thread so might just limit myself to a couple of comments about the mindless inbred cúnts that are Stoke fans. I was actually embarrassed for them. "Intimidating atmosphere"?? My hairy hole! Dear God, they sounded like a bunch of hysterical bitches. Constant booing when we had the ball, bitch-like screeching when one of their park-football plodders went through the back of one of ours, hysterical celebrating when one of their shitter than shit Sunday league reject strikers had a shot and hit the car park on the full.

We should rename this emoticon "The Stoke";

Also, after the pathetic comments in the media about "Wenger too scared to leave the dug out because of Stoke's fans", fair fucks to him for spending the majority (maybe all?) of the match out in his technical area. 8)

Stoke mongs.

Stoke Chairman said he did not hear the Ramsey chanting... :D

But if he did would dis -approve, not sure why the media does not ask Hughes for his opinion

Yes fair play to Wenger, also he never comments on the personal abuse he takes only comments on when directed to his players, can respect that, stood the whole game on the line with his hood down for all to see.

as others have mentioned, hard fought point won that would have looked a lot better had we held on at anfield. we were just lacking that extra bit of quality that was obviously missing with the players we had out.

a small sidenote - Stoke really must think they are hardnuts/intimidating. Massive police escorts for us to and from the game from the pubs (hilarious that all their fans couldn't leave in their cars as they were waiting for our buses leaving back to the station haha), a "cage" around the away end, no booze at half time, more police than i think i've seen other than non-spurs game. Their "famous" atmosphere was non-existent, seen much more intimidating atmospheres.

Before the game, a point would have been acceptable despite the abject failure on wednesday against the mousers.

but during the game, you had to wonder how in the hell stoke managed to beat united and city. their home defeats to shite like watford, palace, liverpool, fuck every shite team they've faced at home made sense. we didn't have the bottle to go at them, and that's one of the many things that will cost us the league, and perhaps even automatic CL qualification if things keep going as they are. with the fixtures we have yet to play, 4 points should have been the minumum from the liverpool and stoke games, yet we have been happy to settle for 2.

roll on 2017

less said about stoke's poor attempts at putting off ramsey yesterday the better I guess but FUCK ME  . little do they know that they've made yet another huge rod for their own back with their shameful "limp" song, finally neutral fans and even the media are picking up at what an embarrassment their fans are to their club. "we support our local team", yeah look at your attendances during the eighties and nineties, you came out the fucking woodwork you cretins. trying desperately to create a rivalry with us does not make you a big club, now stop throwing your toys out the pram and start supporting your club you apparently support so vehemently instead of trying to discredit it with your vile chanting.

Seriously how there children don't come out looking like sloth from the goonies is past me. Relegation to the conference wouldn't be good enough for the dickheads

Just a little personal story. After the game, at the station, the players came past and my son shook every hand, including Wenger's and high fived Giroud. He's 21 now, no longer my little lad, but he was like a 10 year old....He'll remember that. 30 years ago you could always get near the players but not so easy these days.
It was a little different to the scenes at the station last season although a couple of fans did tell Walcott to fuck off!!!

Bit of a quiet evening and I'm low on football things to be cheerful about. This is a nice start though
