As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Fair play Armchair and to whoever was behind that yesterday. I made the mistake of finding a pub whilst on a short break with the family and it ended up ruining my day - another pathetic, leaderless, limpdicked display. I hope Kroenke and TO1AW get dog's abuse at every away game between now and when they're both gone.
I also took a look at the Arsenal FB page while I was stewing afterwards in the boozer and was delighted to see for once that some proper old skool Gooners were on there (the clue being they were able to string a proper sentence together) sticking the boot into our clueless owner and manager.
It can't be allowed to continue and its time to stand up and be counted. I don't have anywhere near enough away credits to get a ticket for any remaining away games but I'll happily buy one from anyone on here and stand shoulder to shoulder with the banner boys. I don't want to get drawn into the whole Kroenke or Wenger debate again - as far as I'm concerned they come as a pair, and I want them gone as a pair. One has a proven track record in owning mediocre sports franchises and not giving a shit about its fans, and the other has underperformed for years now and treats the fans and anyone who dares to question him with equal disdain.

I love surprises so happy to wait for the unveiling of the new one. Which game will we get to see it mate ?

I said on another thread, the prospect of endgameWenger has certaintly got my juices flowing again. Something to look forward to. I doubt we'll ever "get our Arsenal back" and I suppose thats the unfortunate thing but lads, make no mistake, Arsenal history is happening and we are around to witness it.
Steveo you probably wont need to travel to an away game to get your hands on a banner or attend a protest. The away game banner showing thing is good but becoming a little predictable imo. It also restricts those who dont go away or cant get a ticket. Also theres those who understandably would not like the grief, abuse etc. So thats possibly a lot of people who would protest but cant.
For me, outside the Emirates before a game would be a good option. Theres no excuse about not having a ticket so anybody can come, even if they're not attending the game. There' ll be no aggro and probably quite lighthearted, but with massive media attention I think.
Having watched the game properly, we were fortunate to get a draw. Looks like a point gained rather than 2 points lost.
Carroll shouldn't be claiming a hat trick, Gabriel clearly deflects the second, and clearly heads the ball in his own net for the third. Ospina would easily caught that 3rd had it not been intercepted by Gabriel, I also suspect ospina would've stopped the second as it was heading straight for him. Strangely, had BFG started we would've won that yesterday. Gabriel had a 'mare of a game and single handedly gave West ham two goals.
In games like this you play the experience of Cech and BFG. Carroll towered over our defence and frankly they bottled it.

Total assholes mate. Stupid stupid morons.
Im genuinely fukin angry posting this
What exactly is the point of having plod/1 at games?
Every other week these banners get an airing, and every time they do I read posts on here saying anyone who dares question our has-been manager has been assaulted and spat at.

Sorry I can't agree with that. Mert is a total coward. He wouldn't have gone near Carroll. And if he did, he would have been totally dominated. I agree Gab had a mare but Mert is not the answer. As for a point gained? Not for me. When you are 2-0 up and playing the better football (mostly) to go 3-2 down and then scrape a draw is deffo 2 points lost in my book. Typical modern Arsenal that we can't finish off a team and can't defend a decent lead.
What infuriates me is how we still play the useless zonal marking rubbish even when faced with a striker whose whole game is in the air. A tall striker who ALWAYS peels off to the back post and runs in off the (usually short) full back, whilst our two CH's stand flat footed in the centre marking no one. It's so fucking predictable. It's things like this where Wenger's tactical and in-game management are exposed for how bad they are.

to be honest it is only the hope of "big" protests that is keeping me interested in the remainder of the season.
considering the next few home matches are all live on SKY I would have thought that this was the perfect opportunity for pre game protests.
after all what are the pundits going to talk about previewing v Palace or v WBA ??
I am not going to the Palace game but would certainly make the effort of attending a pre match protest

Despite your personal opinion of mertsacker, Saturday was the first goals Carroll has scored against us since BFG joined us in 2011. Carroll has played 6 times against us in those 5 years for Liverpool and West Ham.
Carroll would have stood next to Gabriel and thought it was his birthday, and after that cynical foul after 3 mins, Gabriel was never going to impose himself, and he simply folded and caved in.
With Ospina maybe the presence of Cech on the bench led to him having his worst game for us. I remember something similar happen to Almunia when Lehmann was on the bench. Instead of inspiring it just made him nervous. If your no1 keeper is fit, you play him. Champions League at home to Olympiakos Wenger did the same, so he didn't learn from that game.

And how many times was Mert in those teams? And who was he partnered with? And how many corners or set pieces did he have to face? And what system and style of play did the then opposition managers employ? Anyone can throw out a stat but it is worthless unless qualified.
I was one of those that rated Mert when he first joined because his lack of pace didn't stop him making mostly right decisions. But current-era Mert is a very different animal and an appallingly bad defender; slow, cowardly, and prone to terrible decisions which lead to getting caught in possession too often.

We had the ball taken off us innumerable times. A lack of concentration, a lack of strength and a lack of effort.
Shameful.
I read today that at the Bindippers Origi has put on 5 kilos of muscle since joining them, and that he worked particularly hard during his most recent injury lay-off.
Having watched Leics and the Scum at the weekend they both looked considerably bigger and stronger than us and they both work harder. Wham showed the same.
I know AW would like football to be as physical as chess, but talent alone is not enough. When TA6, PV4, Keown etc were playing no team out-muscled us. Now, virtually every team does.
