The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Didn't we pay around £6M for Ospina?, why are we selling him at a loss when on the whole he's played well for us and is still fairly young for a keeper?!, we should be selling him for at least £8-10M really, he's not in the top bracket of GK's but is in the next one down, also why are we wasting time on the GK position anyway?, it seems like both he and Scz are off so then we will have to buy a replacement.. what a waste of time.

As usual we are going to sign a few square pegs for round holes, haggle over £1.50 and then make a last minute trolley dash for our 5th choice targets in each position.

So looks like Sanchez is on the way out......
Wenger said he's definitely staying??
Meanwhile he's desperately running around Europe trying to sign a replacement to appease the fans, from whatever crumbs are left from when the top clubs have chosen
What a fucking joke club they are....Wanker owner, spineless board and team, Deluded ego mad manager who is incapable of doing his job....

Truth is even with good wages and living in London, we will struggle to attract top talent
Meanwhile all the dross we have sit there winding down their very lucrative contracts
On the positive side can only hasten his departure.....

Aaaaah! There's The Death Knoll on Bellerin right there then.

Arsenal are confident Spain defender Hector Bellerin, 22, will stay at the club despite reports he could move to Barcelona this summer. (London Evening Standard)

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
To be honest I've been disappointed in his progress over the last 2 seasons, I remember the goal he scored against Liverpool in the 4-1 win a couple of seasons back, a game I went to and on a Saturday (both extremely rare these days) and he looked like he could go on to become something special, he hasn't progressed much if at all since then though.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 12:19 pmAaaaah! Infact this may seem harsh (lol) but he reminds me a bit of Walcott, apart from his pace what is there to his game?, perhaps his first touch is slightly better but that isn't really saying much is it?. If we can get £50-60M for him and put it towards the MBappe fund then I say do it, but then we all know instead the money will just sit in the bank with Kroenke scratching his head as to how he can move it out of the club without the fans noticing.

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
I've been saying that for months tbh. He has been gash for months on end this season. Getting outpaced a lot too, as if he is afriad to run too fast... no end product... cannot cross a ball to save his life...sk-gtfo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 1:19 pmTo be honest I've been disappointed in his progress over the last 2 seasons, I remember the goal he scored against Liverpool in the 4-1 win a couple of seasons back, a game I went to and on a Saturday (both extremely rare these days) and he looked like he could go on to become something special, he hasn't progressed much if at all since then though.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 12:19 pmAaaaah! He did have a couple of good games late in the season and was mostly good in the Cup final to be fair, but overall he's been shocking most of the time.

But again, like the Ox, I can't help but wonder what a better coach/manager might get out of him...

Agree with this arround the time he hit that goal you mention where he cut inside, i thought he could go on to improve and be like the Chimp, but no he seems to be suspect at the back and also not a threat, but you know there is a good player in there, and that wenger will never find it by letting him be average at both attacking and defending.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 1:41 pmI've been saying that for months tbh. if he is an attacking full back focus on it, make them worry about him and have the holding player watch to fill in for him.

It's no coincidence that we have had a number of young players join Arsenal who before arriving really looked full of promise and potential: The Ox, Chambers, Walcott, Ramsey and now Bellerin....I'm just worried that Holding will go the same way 'Downwards'
