I don't care - I think any of them - Rodgers, Alleggri, Simeone, Ancellotti will do a better job at organizing the back four, defending as a team and sorting out the bloody medical staff and physios.

in fact I would take Ranieiri for a year if we had to wait for the right candidate - which is not Arteta, Paddy, Dennis or Van Basten.

going forward we have plenty of goals in us - PEA, Lacazette, Welbeck, and Ramsay. its the defence. its always been the defence.

btw- this is my first post back since 2013. :barscarf:

all this talk of the new manager having to fit in with the Arsenal way is a joke, what is the Arsenal way?? bringing kids through??? that in itself is comical, who in 22 years did wenger bring through who was any good?? one player, Ashley cole, thats it!!!!! one player in 22 years!!!

The Arsenal Way used to mean tough resiliant teams, where the captain decides whether the team wears short sleeves or long sleeves on any given day, and where there was a simple bold cannon as a club crest - now the arsenal way is a load of gutless w**kers playing slow sidewards football with a cartoon crest on our shirts, and an acceptance that we have the mindset of a mid-table club

The notion of a big club bringing players through their ranks is very outdated imo - who was the last good player that the victims, the chavs, manure or citeeh brought through their ranks ? Rightly or wrongly these clubs feel there is too much at stake to show some patience to bring the kids through, and whether we like it or not, that is the reality.
Spot on.

The problem is we all know why we are hearing all this hot air about being committed to bringing home grown/youth through though - because SK wants us to spend none of 'his' money and is banking on us being like B. Dortmund or other 2nd tier clubs who punch a bit above their weight (sometimes) because they have a good youth setup or buy some of the best youngsters that the 'big' clubs miss.

I can't see us getting anyone like Allegri or Simeone because they will want more ambition from the owner than this el cheapo bs that will once again be called "our values" or "self-sustaining model", or aka Stan get richer model which is what it is really all about.

Some of you might be getting all excited because SFB has finally left (a decade late) but I have no faith in the corporate scum that run this sporting franchise, afterall they were the ones who allowed this bs to continue at least 3 years too long.

The more I think about it, it has to be Ancelotti.

He had a top class playing career. He got to the CL Final with Roma and won it twice with Milan.

As a manager he has won leagues in Italy, England, Germany and France.

He's won the CL with two different clubs and the Club World Cup.

He's shown he can adapt and invent tactics to suit the players and clubs he's managed.

He's won the PL and FA Cup.

He is familiar with living in London, he speaks excellent English and ...

he's a free agent, so no compo. No other candidate even comes close.

You may think that but it is likely Ancelotti would want a significant transfer budget and do you think the wiggy w*nker will provide that?, especially if we are not in the CL?.

I can't see it, it will be some wildcard appointment because they will more likely accept working to our make Stan richer model, sorry I mean self sustaining, I went a bit Chips Keswick there and got muddled.

I guess the new manager wont be bringing through any of these "prospects" anytime soon

Personally I would be showing Ramsey and Cech the door. Ramsey for all his reputation has never come close to being Arsenal’s modern day Gerrard or Lampard. He simply makes awful decisions, when a simple pass is required he tries a ridiculous flick. Also his goalscoring record isn’t anywhere near as good as someone like Pires. I have big hopes for Maitland Niles in central midfield.

Cech, unfortunately is way past his best. We’ve seen some shocking mistakes this season, the Swansea game springs to mind.

Rather than the players waiting for an appointment, they should be worried if a new manager wants to keep them, rather the other way round. But that is the arrogance of modern day footballers, I guess.

lets see though what a proper coach can do with Ramsay.

you have to remember these players have not been coached at all.

I would not be surprised to see big improvements in Ramsay, Holding and Chambers.

I agree Cech should go, and Wilshire.

Same as that 8)

The problem with playing a ramsey in midfield is that it means that you cannot play 4-4-2 cos he has neither the discipline nor the strength/guts to play there, and I would prefer all our centre midfielders to be capable of playing that system even if it wasnt our first choice formation.
The main reason I would sell him though is £££ - firstly he has 12 months left on his contract and will be looking for wages that far exceeds his performances for us to date. Secondly we have by all accounts a limited transfer budget, so I would try to generate funds by offloading some high profile under achievers and he falls into that bracket 8)

Allegri likes using two strikers as he often does with Higuain and Mandzukic starting together. With Auba and Laca here it would be a perfect match.

4-1-2-1-2:

-------------------New GK
Bellerin--New CB-----Kos--Kola
---------------------Xhaka
-------Ramsey-------------Wilsh/Elneny
----------------------Özil
---------Lacazette----Aubameyang

Exciting times ahead.
Jesus cycling Christ on a bike - Xhaka in that formation? Are you insane? And with Ramsey and Wilshere in front of him? So that's no defending in midfield then. Why not throw Klopp in there as manager and we can pretend to be the scum under Ardiles? Attack attack attack - oh we just lost 5-3.
If Allegri comes in and “Wilsh” features in his plans then I’ll be starting an “Allegri out” thread very soon :D

Any manager/coach worth their salt will steer clear of this club as the majority of remaining playing personnel are shite and the fan base is broken according to our soon to be departed c'unt...
He fuckin made sure he will be a hard act to follow, the incoming saviour will need a flamethrower and a scorched earth policy along with deep clean army of disinfectors to get rid of the stench of waste at this excuse of a football club... :cussing:

Can't believe it's only just dawned on me who our next manager will be.

Gazidis gave a huge clue in the press conference.

Someone who will continue with the Arsenal values? - who better than an Arsene employee!

Gazidis said we have to make a bold appointment? - or did he mean a BOULD appointment? :banghead:
