Absolutely shit performance and nothing to say other than that. The whole thing looked like an inconvenience for them all. Fuck me, get that out the way now and never again.

We actually had men making runs on occasion but the player on the ball instead decided to turn and play backwards or square.Thynker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:00 pmShould just hit it long now and again.TeeCee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 8:57 pmWe'll disagree then mate, Everton and United were embarrassing for us, awful awful teams we allowed to win. Palace are a mid table team and we allowed them to dominate us like Liverpool.Bit different to be honest.
In the Everton and United games we did actually compete.
Tonight is complete humiliation.
Considering who we are playing this is one of the worst results and performances I can ever remember.
It's something that happens with Arsenal every so often, there's a real mental problem as well as no answer whatsoever to a high press against us.
We were nowhere near positive enough.
White and Gabriel seem to think playing 20 passes back and forth to each other, is somehow a great footballing tactic

West Ham beat Liverpool this season by knocking the ball long over the press.StuartL wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:07 pmWe actually had men making runs on occasion but the player on the ball instead decided to turn and play backwards or square.Thynker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:00 pmShould just hit it long now and again.TeeCee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 8:57 pmWe'll disagree then mate, Everton and United were embarrassing for us, awful awful teams we allowed to win. And that the point I was making,I know he was a frustrating lazy bastard in the end but if arteta managed him better and played him in his preferred position his attitude might have been different, because the bloke knows where the goal is,not like we are seeing at Arsenal now,we’ve missed 2 or 3 clear chances tonightDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:04 pmAbsolutely. But for me that's where an experienced manager knows what to do or say to get the guy back on form and doesn't let it get to the stage it did with Aubamewingie. Martinez-Lite seemed to be so keen to show he was a strong manager that he let that take priority ahead of the good of the club.
Re: Palarsewipes A Mon April 4th KO 8pm
Fair point but the fact we have fuck all up front makes the dick waving by arteta look stupid now when a bloke we let walk is banging goals in,and we didn’t even have a ready replacement, frustrating as fuckThynker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:06 pmRonaldo played most of his career in that position. Good (and interested) players adapt. Auba won us an FA cup with goals in the semi and final from that position.
Re: Palarsewipes A Mon April 4th KO 8pm
Or Lord Wenger my friend...wish I didn't have to keep pointing it out but I'm afraid this manager has served up so many of those performances its amazing so many can't see it. Previous managers have had plenty of faults but I can't remember a single one where I would say at least a third of their games could have sent me to sleep....

Tonight reminded me of classic tippy tappy Wengerball when the likes of Legohead Denilson and Alex Mong would exchange 23 five-yard passes between them and Wenger would point at the pass completion stat and the media idiots would hail us a playing "beautiful football".

The only difference being that the likes of Mong and Denilson were what we had in the immediate era of moving to the bowl. Carpet head is managing that sort of football with a 45 million midfielder, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli and Smith Rowe. Quite extraordinary.

Cedric and Tavares are the modern day Vivas and LuzhnyDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:20 pm100% on the money Stu.StuartL wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:07 pmWe actually had men making runs on occasion but the player on the ball instead decided to turn and play backwards or square.Thynker wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:00 pmShould just hit it long now and again.TeeCee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 8:57 pmWe'll disagree then mate, Everton and United were embarrassing for us, awful awful teams we allowed to win. Re: Palarsewipes A Mon April 4th KO 8pm
You’ll achieve fuck all without a striker simple as that really.
Relying on really promising kids playing in midfield to bail you out for goals game after game after game is all well and good until they have an off night in a game you’re under pressure and then what are you left with for a goal threat? Fuck all that’s what!
Alan Smith was banging in the goals when I started supporting The Arsenal, then Wrighty, then DB10 and Anelka, then Thierry, then JVP and then Auba.
All absolutely deadly finishers…..now what have we got? Laca who hasn’t scored from open play in 19 hours and Eddie the fucking feather, it’s a miracle we’re even contending for 4th with that shit

That performance was so fucking abysmal and every player so shit that I wouldn’t put the mortgage on us beating Brighton Saturday either.
Martinelli 5 out of 10 for effort and the rest ranging between 1 and 3 at fucking best, hard to see how they just shake off a display as pathetic as that in just a few days.
Any hope Stevie Me does a favour at the weekend? Nah thought not.
