THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Whatever the decision it is 100 percent should be announced during the international break.

If he stays the toxic atmosphere will get worse if he goes we move on rightly so.

Am I missing something or are they making a huge leap from somebody in Hong Kong paying for the banner and the fact that one of our directors has family business connections there?

Is there anything to suggest that they actually paid for it other than the fact that they are based in HK like 7.5 million other people?

This is all part of his deluded plan. He wants to end up in 7th, no European footie next season and a 1 year contract to win the league for the last time!

What scares me is that Wenger leaving fixes one problem but not the big picture. I don't see a new manager winning the Prem without massive changes to our squad. They are on very good money so who would buy the ones we need to get rid of.
We have a board only interested in money and not success so there will be no support to build the best team.
Finally the new manager will find he does not get the support he needs and probably end up our Moyes.
Anyway Wenger still needs to go and I don't know how he can justify his support for our group of overpaid tossers apart from Sanchez who still cares

You mean the Arsenal board who have backed the manager to a fault? Who have made hundreds of millions of pounds availabe to him for players?

The board and owner who let the manager implement his own strategies and tactics and pretty much stay away from the football side and let him get on with it.

The board and owner who allow the manager to identify transfer targets and players in/out and monies paid?

The same board who have provided the manager with some the most up to date facilites in world football, in the capital City of the home of football?

That board and owner?

This whole "I know but I'm not saying" just reeks of self-serving vanity, meanwhile the team's position continues to erode whilst this charade plays out.

Interestingly the AKB Scientology Blog (aka Untold Arsenal) is full of comments giving Tony a good kicking for his transparent deflection blogs.

The link is with the Jardine Matheson group based in Hong Kong. Air plane company had confirmed this apparently.

Have they???
Latest tweet says specifically not Jardine group of HK fans.

It's Twitter though, you believe what you want to believe.

Why are they backing a manager to finish 4th?.

Have they invested any of their money into the club - No

Do they have total contempt for the fans (aka customers) - Yes

Stop talking bs, we can agree on Wenger out but seriously your pro-board propaganda is quite vomit enducing. :blah:

You are deluded. It's so obvious and you don't see it. What a load of crap. Hundreds of millions of pounds for players. Well pal a 350 million pound stadium meant we had to sign kids. That's also with a 100 million Emirates deal. Seriously I fear for the deluded fan and I said Wenger must go. Just wait and see what happens with the next manager if Kronke is in control

Incredible that Atwood was STILL deflecting blame from Wenger. He is getting torn to shreds in the comments and rightly so. The odd few who do side with him have to surely have started supporting Arsenal post 1996 because I cannot think of any other reason they would be so brainwashed. I hope that when Wenger eventually does go, they all go with him.

Wenger has never "had to sign kids"
His vanity project had begun well before Kroenke arrived. Dein himself has gone public and admitted Arsenal were never skint fuck sake.

He always had money to spend, the board has always made money available to the manager, just like now and he has and still does refuse to spend, dither or waste it.

Something wrong with Arsenal making money? I like the fact Arsenal are one of the richest clubs in the world. That part is successful.
The part that is failing is on the pitch where another manager may prosper utilising all the money and facilities at his disposal.
