We finished 7 points behind the winners last year with those dry bummings and the limitations upfront so it is not unrealistic to think that only one quality signing (in that area) will help to make things closer, we also spent the most days out of any of the top 4 at the top of the league so while it may not fit into your pre mediated agenda or opinion the fact is that the team were not that far off, dry bummings and all but lets not let the facts stand in the way of a good strong opinion.

Its been a good week to be an Arsenal supporter, some should try to enjoy it for once instead of clinging on to the desire to win the battle of opinions because right now things are looking a lot rosier in the garden at the start of July.

It means exactly what it says it is an is an example of how some chose to look past facts so they can force their opinions home.

We spent most days at the top, 128 or something, while it may mean nothing it shows that the team were indeed competing for the title for a long period which some seem to ignore just like they will talk about getting thumped by Liverpool but chose to ignore that we also beat them twice.

Now what else do I need to chose more carefully?

It has been a good week to be a Gooner and things are looking rosier now than they did last week and no Gooner will disagree with that - however that one good week in july doesn't equate to a good season and some people need to keep things in perspective and keep their feet on the ground for a while.
I find it amusing that Gooners are quick to talk up our chances of making up points on those that finished above us last season - firstly it seems to focus purely on our transfer purchases and not that of our rivals, but also they suggest that we can make up ground on those above but we dismiss the chances of those finishing behind us making up points to reel us in Fact is that everyone is doing business so we are not the only one's strengthening and I would also be amazed if citeeh and the chavs dropped as many cheap points this season as last season.

Well, you haven't adequately dealt with this one!

I don't know how often you go, or have on the past, but never in my life have I come across anyone who has retold that or some such similar statistic. Why? Because challenging for the title is more complex.

What's more pertinent is:

where we are with 5 games 4 games to go
are we on top form?
Who do we have left to play?
Do we have most of our important players available?

These are much more important and relevant than some useless statistic - but you could make yourself a "most days at the top of the league" trophy. Unfortuntely ,it counts for nothing.

And so that I don't have to come back - what you're ignoring about the thrashings is that we didn't learn anything.That's the problem I and others have. If anything, it got worse and worse. Brainless football. Of course, anyone can get thrashed and you're right - we beat Liverpool twice. But we have to go away to these places - our competitors - and make a better fist of it.

That's about it for now. I think you have to lose the idea about agendas and practice what you preach. If you don't want people to use facts (thrashings) to suit their narrative, don't do the same.

We all want Arsenal to compete for the title but to do so, real problems have to be aired and solutions found.

Ah the dick waving route, ok, I have a season ticket, have done for a few years, seen plenty of games that dont involve watching it on a stream (not that its relivant but nice try at a belittle attempt) and please dont confuse me for trying to force my opinion on you, Im not, my opinion is irrelivant just like yours is as people hear what they want to hear on here, I am just pointing out some of the facts that most on here try to brush under the carpet while they shout loudly with their own self absorbed opinion, like you.
